100%. He clearly wants out of Jacksonville and could set himself up wonderfully to make $10mm a year in Los Angeles with recruits falling all over themselves to play for the Trojans, so why bother sticking with this failed experiment?

He probably gets fired eventually in Jacksonville. USC probably gives him a look. I don't think they are serious enough about their football program to offer him $10M a year.

I don't think he comes back to the SEC while NS is still doing well. Him going back to television makes more sense

I don't know who Michael Silver is, or who his sources are, but...

"1) The Urban Meyer situation in Jacksonville has reached a crisis point, especially in the locker room. One player told me, 'He has zero credibility in that stadium. He had very little to begin with.'"

"'He even canceled the team meeting. He was too scared,' a player said."

"Said one player: 'We looked at him like, WTF? Right when he left everyone started dying laughing. And he knew it.'"

I've always liked Marcus Spears. He doesn't sugarcoat anything.

"It's enough out there for everybody to understand why Urban Meyer shouldn't be the head coach of anybody."

Spears 1st clip.

"Shad Khan, you're on the clock, bro."

Spears 2nd clip.

Urban doesn’t deserve the millions to act this way. The same could be said about a bunch of professional athletes as well though.

Between trying to bring Doyle in, giving Tebow a tryout at TE, openly stating that they had hoped for a different player than the one they drafted, the NFLPA investigation, and now this, he does have a point. There's plenty there to show that Urban has no business running a football team. It's just a question of whether it arises to the level needed to terminate for cause. I would say no. The NFLPA thing is probably the closest, but I don't think that's good enough. He's got enough plausible deniability there. The rest of it is just him exhibiting shitty judgment or being an a-hole.

Exactly. He didn't break any laws. From what I saw in the video, there's no evidence that he did anything more than flirt back and forth with a young girl. He wasn't missing time from his job to do it.

This just screams faux outrage to me.

Most of the folks feigning outrage are the same people who don't give a shite that married players all over the league are doing the same shite every single night.

If Urban was undefeated no one would give a damn about this.

What do you bet that Urbie resigns ("to focus on my family")?

He now has no credibility with owners, family, players, fans, or the broadcast booth.

He's now a joke...for a long, long time.

Im pretty sure he was referring to off-the-field allegations. There are a ton of Urban Meyer 'stories'.

You make a good point, which in a way, just heaps further damnation on him.

Like Spears says...coaches preach to the players that they don't want to be the guy who takes the focus away from the team. The Jags are 0-4. Instead of being able to focus exclusively on the Titans, he has become the focus. Team meetings about things other than football. Players losing respect for him to the point where he is unable to lead. If he was 4-0, players wouldn't be able to question his leadership because he would have proven that he's a winner in the league.
