Exactly. He didn't break any laws. From what I saw in the video, there's no evidence that he did anything more than flirt back and forth with a young girl. He wasn't missing time from his job to do it.

This just screams faux outrage to me.

Most of the folks feigning outrage are the same people who don't give a shite that married players all over the league are doing the same shite every single night.

If Urban was undefeated no one would give a damn about this.

Ya, but when you are winless and choose to not fly back with the team and are stupid enough to do something to create a huge distraction for the team (again, who is still trying to win their first game) - it creates questions in terms of competency

my guess he has a morality clause

Yep.
quote:

Former NFL executive Michael Lombardi is reporting that Jacksonville is having “closed-door meetings” with Meyer that could get ugly in the near future.

“According to two Jacksonville sources, there are many closed-door meetings happening over the last two days in the football offices and none of them have anything to do with the Titans,” Lombardi tweeted. “Stay tuned. This might get ugly.”

Michael McCann, a legal analyst for Sportico, then mentioned that Jacksonville could be discussing “morals clause” and “for cause” in the future with Meyer because of his actions. In other words, he may have violated his contract over the weekend and could be fired because of it.

Although McCann was just speculating, Lombardi confirmed that Jacksonville is actually discussing those two terms with Meyer.

If the Jaguars are seriously discussing “morals clause” and “for cause” with Meyer, there’s a chance his run with the franchise could end very soon.

While it would still be a surprise to see Meyer fired in October, there’s no denying that his NFL career is off to an awful start.

(Not sure if this was before of after the most recent Jacksonville statement.)

“closed-door meetings”

I guess he’s probably had a “closed door meeting” with his wife. Usually wives don’t like it when they smell other woman’s poon on their husbands fingers.

It would have been a lot better if the Jags had hired Tebow to coach the team and let Urban go through the tryouts for 3rd string tight end.

Was this also “reported” by a vague source such as a radio station with no reference to a show host or guest?

Esactly.

The players were laughing at him and his bullshite explanation. You just can't have that in an NFL locker room.

Of course, Meyer has had nothing but bullshite explanations for his frickery ever since Saban ran him out of the SEC.
