"Accepted" sure. But the formula was so fundamentally flawed that it was overhauled because of how absurdly 2003 ended.

1992 for everyone not in the Big Ten and PAC.

'Universally agreed to' (school representatives) is better wording than 'accepted'. This is what is true.

How old are you? Honestly, not being a douche - serious question. To make this statement makes me think you're very young.
Their are some questionable national title claims by a lot of schools (including bama) but I'm pretty sure 1992 was pretty decided as to who was #1. Same for UF in 1996, etc. etc. Just because you're program doesn't have much tradition doesn't mean you should belittle everyone else's.
Why am I responding. Arguing with people who can't be persuaded.

I'm not sure why our 96 title doesn't count. It was won on the field under the Bowl Alliance, the predecessor to the BCS.
