according to the AP, Florida State and Arizona State were the best two teams after the regular season ended.

And according to the Bowl Alliance, which is what both UF and FSU agreed to play under before the season, they were. System > AP.

After this season, Bama will own 22.2% of all legit NC's.

Pinnacle.

Bama fans are the Mitt Romneys of sports.

The only people who believe Bama has won 15 titles are Bama fans. They CLAIM 15. History and analysis always disagrees with this claim, and it makes the rest of the world either laugh at them, or simply dismiss them, or both. Their universe of reality is entirely their own. Kind of sad, really.

In 2007 Ohio State should have played Kansas. They were screwed by a flawed system.

Didn't win it's conference or division

Also, I'm pretty sure they didn't play Texas or Oklahoma that season
They didnt play either. In fact, the only good team they played that season was also their only loss. It would be like saying 2013 Ohio State would deserve to play for the national title with one loss. And this years Ohio State team would kick the shite out of 2007 kU. Plus, they had to bribe their way into a BCS bowl that year.

I'm gonna talk so much shite this weekend. Purposely get up in every LSU fans face and say we have 42 national titles. Hell, we're even taking LSU's away because Saban is our coach now and we've been awarded that title retroactively.

Yeah, but didnt Arizona state lose their bowl game that year?

Not to mention Florida beat Florida state 52-20. This thread is silly.

The BCS was and is the only recognized title claim since it's creation.

Not even close to true. During that season Oklahoma (and some others) still only recognized AP titles as legitimate. Oklahoma didn't even recognize championships awarded by the other major poll. It wasn't until the AP gave the trophy to USC that everyone got on board the BCS train.

Up until that point the Oklahoma media guide still only recognized their 2000 BCS title as "AP".

You were born or your father?

Also, for the interest of this thread, here is a list of every AP #1 vs #2 game ever played: LINK

Right. They saw the Rose Bowl receding into background and jumped aboard in 98.

so we redefine the word, legit. just to knock on bama.

ok. so what do you tell all those organizations that awarded national championship trophies since, well, forever. that their organizations are illegitimate, because i dont like the number of times y'all gave your national championship trophies to alabama? would that suffice? i'm sure they would gladly accept your perception of their organizations and bow to your absolute authority on the subject.

p.s. i do recognize your absolute authority on this board. so if this is my last post ever. i have enjoyed this place

Pre BCS was bogus. Hate on the BCS all you want, but it has allowed 1 and 2 to play before a title was given

We know. You should really try to work on that, though. Your jealousy is ugly.

It has allowed the BCS's #1 and #2 play. Not other polls.

I've been a fan of the BCS. Why doesn't the Bowl Alliance count as well?
