In the era of reduced seating capacity, I wonder if other schools will be going to something like this.

UNC's Kenan Stadium once sat 62,980....today, it's only 50,500.

They should, but they won’t.

With the number of chair backs that fill Sanford, feels like we damn well could at this point.

I’ll admit, though, there’s something about a bleacher that makes it feel like being in a college stadium vs a pro stadium. Plus, student and band sections probably need to stay bleachers

Smart plan. Going forward almost every single renovation project will (should) be designed with comfort in mind instead of capacity.

I think so.

Game day experience on a aluminum bench is not going to cut it.

People value their time so being uncomfortable for 3-4 hours is not a recipe for season tickets.

Need a cup holder as well.

This was done back in 2018 but didn't include the student section.

It would be stupid to do it in the student section. If your student section isn't standing on bleacher seats through the game, jamming as many people in as possible, and staying loud, why bother having one at all?

Good news if you like a stadium full of people sitting on their hands. I’m sure Alabama will implement this shortly.

Nice thought but the reality is $$$$

College football is going the way of the NFL

Fewer seats but bigger "donations" for those seats.

You might be generous a bit at that number.

Jeebus, just add a HS bleacher backrest. If someone wants to bring a butt cushion good on them
