It’s actually an affair with an OU staffer… Annie Hanson, OU’s administrator in charge of recruiting
Lincoln can do like Dan Mullens and take her with him to his new job

OU isn’t ready to get into that legal battle with USC.
The same school that did legal battle with the NCAA so you could enjoy your fat conference media contract decades later?

OU is going to fit in just fine in the SEC. sequel to the Shrimpboat Captain of LSU.

Not to mwntion 5th amendment protections
Do you even US Constitution bro?
The 5th amendment applies to criminal prosecutions, not civil or domestic cases.
When you claim a 5th amendment right to not answer a question in a civil matter, it can legally be inferred that the accusations being made are true. That’s why civil cases are put on hold when there are criminal charges involving the same issues pending.

I haven't seen a shred of evidence of any sort of affair between Lincoln Riley and Annie Hanson, nor have I seen any evidence of pending legal action against USC.
But if there were any pending legal action against USC, it would have nothing to do with an affair. If there were any case of tortious interference to be made, it would be because of Lincoln Riley and his clique actively recruiting kids to USC who were committed to OU while still employed and under contract with the University of Oklahoma, which Roy Manning was caught doing just a few days ago, who subsesquently resigned today.

Why would USC care?
I don't see why they would care if he's fricking a booster's wife at OU right up to the point he is hired away.
The only issue is if OU could prove he was recruiting for USC while on OU's payroll. This is obviously a conflict of interest that could cause a legal problem for USC if it proved they were participating in the fraud.
I think it's a long-shot though. The behind the scenes shenanigans associated with college football are so ingrained in the system that I'm not sure OU could open that can of worms without making themselves vulnerable for similar situations in the future.
Athletic directors talk a big game about feeling betrayed when a coach leaves. I get it; it makes sense if they think their most visible employee isn't working for them in reality. But, there's generally little they can do except fire someone. There is one example of a guy getting fired for interviewing for another job (Jeff Jagodzinski at Boston College for interviewing with the Jets.) But, that's a case where the AD knew about the desire to interview and specifically told JJ if he interviewed, he would get fired. I know of other cases where a coach interviewed without telling the AD, everyone got mad, but in the end nobody did anything and the coach still has his job many years later (though his ice might be getting thin.)
It's an ugly business, not for the fainthearted.

For real, this means frick all for USC or Lincoln Riley.
I'm pretty sure an affair being exposed would mean a little more than "frick all" to Riley

Aw college football. And the coaches get most all the money.

She’s following him to USC apparently. This was just fan fiction.

Barry Switzer had an affair with the wife of his DC, Larry Lacewell, in the late ‘70s. Lacewell left the program and was working with the Cowboys when Switzer was hired.
I believe they worked things out and were on good terms.
Crazy.

Yeah I figured as much. She followed him to OU from UNC.

Switzer’s OU teams gave the U a run for it’s money back in the day. OU has too many skeletons to be preaching morality to anyone.
