Who amongst us hasn't shown up dead-sober to the tailgate, only to come stumbling out of the RV lot less than 30 minutes later?

I am just thankful that my worst WLOCP moment was prior to widespread use of digital photography.

I attended my first cocktail party as a child in 1959. This used to be such a special game and a special week. It was more like a bowl trip to the beach and people would go down days early to party on the Georgia beaches, play golf and tennis - there was the Gator Hater tournaments to attend - and socialize. Over the years getting to the game has gotten harder and harder. The prices to park in the reserved lots are astronomical - if you leave parking to chance you will usually find yourself a mile or more from the stadium in some very questionable neighborhoods. The stadium is now tired looking and the stadium staff surly and unhelpful. Concessions are slow as hell. The entry gates back up and there are very long crowded waits to get into the stadium. And after the game forget getting out without a major hassle and long wait. They make traffic go in certain directions whether or not that’s where you need to go. It’s not unusual to find yourself in less than desirable areas in the dark or directed thru downtown Jax. Last year the cops made the people in my parking lot go a certain way. You had no choice. After almost an hour of circling in heavy stop and go traffic we ended up back where we had started. Crazy! This game was once very special and I have so many good memories but if they can’t make Jax more fan friendly I’m for playing this game home and home. Jax is not fun anymore

100 year old traditions just being flushed down the toilet left and right.

Then everyone wonders why people aren’t attending games or ratings are down.

I assumed that when we added OU and Texas, that Sankey and everyone had all of this crap figured out.

This...in a nutshell. I concur with your feelings and experience over 50+ years of my going to/covering the game. Yet, my emotions on the game don't want to let the tradition die.

Terrible Terrible idea.

We got a crew of 12 guys, Gators and Dawgs that play golf Thursday, fish Friday, Big Tailgate Saturday. Why should we mess that up?

The game itself is special. Half Georgia fans half Gator fans. And we don’t like each other. The atmosphere is electric - at least until the Gators give up and start leaving. It’s like no other game. It’s too bad that once Jax gets that contract signed every 5 years or so, they let the experience surrounding the game go to crap

So when UGA is the home team it should be in Athens but when UF is it should stay in Jax? Wow. May as well change your primary color from red to yellow.

Tell me you’re dumb without actually saying it. Anything north of Harwood is nice. I’m guessing you know the area since you took the time to look at my profile (LOL frickING WEIRD) and then comment. I work out of DFW so it takes me 10 minutes to get to work. 25 minutes to downtown Dallas and 20 minutes to Fort Worth. Also 8 minutes from Grapevine and Southlake. But you already knew that I’m sure .

Congrat's, you live by the airport. My point is Jax has some great places and there are parties all over the city. So if you haven't experienced it, not just once, but many times, you don't know what the frick you are talking about.

I'm sure you have an opinion about the Red River Shootout too, since Fair park is a "shithole."

When it’s UFs year to be the home team they are free to play in Jax or Hogtown. Which ever they prefer. It makes no difference to Georgia where they beat the Gators.

I’m sorry you must be simple. Dfw damn near stretches from Lewisville to Arlington. Everything is “by the airport”.
Fair park is a shithole , and so is Jacksonville.

So is Baton Rouge, maybe LSU should play elsewhere?

Y'all are demanding the game stay in Jax when we're the home team. Just say you're scared.
