Not going to Jacksonville sounds like a good thing to me. Stadium/city is a dump.

Well one of the premiere rivalries in CFB history has played there every year since the early 1930s with only exceptions being stadium demolition and world war, so despite it not being a paradise that's where it needs to stay.

I will chain myself to the pool inside Jacksonville's stadium until they confirm that tWLOCP will remain in its rightful home for eternity.

If they move it, it would just be like any other game imo. Everyone seems to be all about themselves, so I am good with 0-8 and having no permanent opponents, so everyone plays everyone the same amount of times over a number of years.

You can't get much more fair than that.

Pat Dye and Auburn broke their long-standing tradition of playing Alabama in Birmingham in 1989, a tradition that had stood since 1904.

While I really enjoyed those 50/50 games in Birmingham (half the crowd goes crazy after every play), you had be high up in the priority scheme to get tickets and back then that meant being someone or knowing someone, not just being willing to pay money. Once they changed to home and home you could get tickets every other year at least.

are you saying that's a good thing? It's not just any other game and shouldn't be treated as one

Again, where is this massive push coming from to be "fair" and equitable regarindg number of time syou play someone? If us playing UF and AU every single year means we get to play missouri and oklahoma less often then who the frick cares. Why are we valuing those games over our traiditonal ones?

I dont have that problem in jacksonville. As a matter of fact, i have never heard this being an issue.

Yeah I’ve never had a single problem getting into that stadium if I wanted to and I’m a plebeian fan. Tickets aren’t dirt cheap but they aren’t super expensive either and they’re a plentiful to find

Don't we have a winning record in Jax?
I remember what happened the last time the game was in Athens.
Don't mess with tradition. Leave the game where it is.

I would prefer a HOME and HOME

Jax is a dump and nothing special anymore about it tbh.

No I am not in favor of it.

I just know that we have lost the Auburn rivalry, and now we stand a chance to lose the Tennessee and LSU rivalries. So if Georgia decides to play in Athens when they are designated the home team, I would be in favor of just eliminating all permanent opponents. If some people get to keep their rivals and others do not, it doesn't sound fair to me.

We have played Auburn once since 2011 and it is bullshite. It will be the same with Tennessee and LSU, and I am just kind of over it. Florida has as many if not more rivals than anyone. We have already lost the annual Miami and Auburn rivalries to SEC expansion, and now we stand a chance to lose even more, so let's just start over from scratch.

this is the exact opposite of UGA/UF. For ticket holders here is the minimum amnoutn of lifetime points you ahve to have to even be able to REQUEST tickets to away games this year, no guarantees you'll get them:

SC: 35K
MSu: 25K
Oregon and UF: 10K
Mizz and UK: 2500

Of course the biggest difference between UF and all other games listed is we get 40K tickets there opposed to like 8K at others. So pretty much if you ar ea season ticket holder and request UF tickets, you're getting them.

OK I just read your link. You think that little twitter poll designates what Georgia wants? Come on man.

call me crazy but what happened in a spurrier vs ray goff matchup in the mid-90s doesn't have much bearing on the present day.

Granted I don't want it changed either but that one matchup is kinda irrelevant here ha.

Not arguing, you should know. But if Jacksonville holds 69k and your stadium holds 92.7k, and UF gets half the tix in Jacksonville, how is there not a ticket crunch? Somebody has to be missing out. You damn sure couldn't easily get tickets to Birmingham Iron Bowls.

Exactly, which is why we might as well stay at 2/6. 1/7 serves no tangible benefit like a switch to 3/6 would.

The Gators would prefer all of their away games in Jacksonville.

Conference rivalries shall be played at home stadiums.

Playoffs and bowl games shall be played at neutral sites.

It's porbably different because our game is 6 hours from campus so not everyone is going to want or be able to go, compared to the Iron Bowl where most of the attendeeds likely live within 2 hours and everyone in the state is going to want to go.

Tickets for postseason games in Atlanta for instance you do have to have an extremely high amount of points so I guess that could be an accurate comparison. But as things are now the UF game is a lot easier to get tickets to then most of our other away games.
