I just looked at the all time NFL rushing list and it is incredible how many Hurricanes are on that top 50. All the guys you mention plus Ottis Anderson
Yeah, and their all time tight ends list is sick too…Njoku, Winslow, Shockey, Franks, Olsen

Bama has at least that number.
USC and Miami probably do too

Last time I checked college RBs are judged for what they did for the university they played for, not for what they did in the men's league.

Not when you are calling yourself Position U. I mean there is a reason UGA featured two alums who played in the NFL and not current players.

?
You mean 2 players featured in a tweet? Lol
That's what triggered you?

No, what triggered me was UGA calling itself RBU when they arent even close

Then try stopping our running backs.

Historically, UGA and USC both have been widely known as "RBU".
One of those is widely known. The other is known within a 30 mile radius of Athens. I almost gave you the entire state, but many in west Georgia recognize Auburn as a better RB producer historically and many in South Georgia recognize Florida as a better RB producer historically.
I would probably put UGA behind Auburn, Florida, and Bama historically making you 4th in the extreme southeast.

You can call Bama RBU if you want to do so. It won't bother us at all.

I think UGA having the #1 and #2 leading rushers in the SEC all time has something to do with it.
Herschel has been atop that list for 40 years.
We seem to run all over the rest of the conference more recently as well (22 rushing TDs on 2021 and 25 rushing TDs in 2022 in conference play).

Why would it bother you if its true?

I realize a 1,000 yard back is just one metric of many in determining who is "RBU." I also recognize it is an easier statistic to get in today's game with teams playing more games and it's not always indicative of a great season. I also recognize some teams and programs have favored multiple ball carriers.
But, nevertheless . . .
1,000 yard RBs since 1973 (50 seasons ago)
Auburn - 26
Alabama - 22
Georgia - 21
LSU - 20

quote:Yea to be fair I'd say Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, and Arkansas have all had their fair share of good backs... with Arkansas probably lagging in that crowd slightly.
I can look back, but I think Auburn, Georgia, Bama, and LSU have had about the same amount of 1,000 yard rushers over the past 40 years.

Didn’t Arky have a backfield of Hillis, Felix Jones and McFadden at one time? That and I remember their lanky QB Jones who somehow outran everyone in slow motion.

I find myself worrying less and less about shite like this the more we stack these NC's.
It's funny that you are worrying about it more and more, though.

I think it's a lot even if other schools have comparable numbers.

UGA may never have another 1,000 yard rusher with Kirby at the helm.

You mean to tell me that AU fans and UF fans think their schools have a better claim than UGA does at RBU? Shocking news.

Go ahead and list the guys you think put them above UGA for RBU.
