Simpson says he's learned more in the last 4 months than he did in 4 years at Alabama
quote:
“It’s the same thing I did in college, except it’s a different level,” Simpson said of sitting and learning. “I’ve learned more ball in the last four months of being with him than I had in four years of being in college. He’s just so, like, cerebral. Just understands and he’s so smart with everything. It’s so cool. I appreciate him so much because he’s been nothing but nice to me.”

He certainly fell in a very good place to develop. Hope he does well. A very solid young man on and off the field.

Matthew Stafford is certainly someone any QB should listen to and learn from.
Maybe John Mateer should give Stafford a call since he finished 15th in QB rating in the SEC last season.

And full time to focus solely on your profession? It is a crazy thought

First person in the history of the world to learn more on the job than he did in school

That’s kind of how going into the workforce of your chosen profession works.

Are you suggesting college coaches don’t work full time? Do you think they grab a couple of shifts at the DG?

Read it again. The player focuses on his new full time job once he’s in the NFL as opposed to college

Football is full time in college for players and coaches. They aren’t cramming for a psychology exam two hours before kickoff lol

Players and coaches still have limits on the amount of time that they spend together.
And if you think college players are dedicating more time than NFL players, you are an idiot.

Stafford + McVay + their QB coach is probably 4x better than Alabama’s QB coach

I doubt he would say he is not learning anything
