We have Tim Tebow... but with actual NFL talent. (and Timmy won a damn playoff game)

Better passer than Tebow. Not the goal line pile driver Tebow was. We won't really know until tua actually has a few games under his belt. Raw talent is as good as we have seen at Bama in a while.

quote:Tua’s and Tebow's freshmen stats are nearly identical. Tebow played more meaningful snaps during the year. Tua became an instant legend in the Natty. He scored 3 TDs, mind you.
Tebow was part of the 06 team and did more than Tua did the entire season before the title game, which Tebow also scored two touchdowns in mind you.

Discount Tebow or Second Coming of Christ
Neither.
There's no doubt the charismatic Bama QB is sincere about his faith, but he's a Mormon. Orthodox Christianity disavows Mormonism as a true branch of the greater Christian church.

Say what you want, but Florida does not win the national title when Tebow was a freshman without Tebow. He was clutch getting first downs.
Pretty sure we don't win it this year without that performance from Tua. But, I always thought Tebow was the best college QB I had ever seen. I loved going to the SECCG in 08' and especially the rematch in 09'.

Kid played great, cannot deny that. There is one play that I think was critical in getting his confidence up. Did anyone else besides me think that the game tying TD pass on the crossing route was a little lucky? I mean it seemed like when he threw it there was so much traffic it almost seemed like a prayer, but a vet WR got to the ball and his trust in them must have shot up off the charts. Most QBs, especially freshman piss their pants and don't throw that ball.
Anyways, It seemed like after that play he couldn't miss. Kid played excellent and has a great future with the Tide.

If it was meant for Ridley that was an incredibly accurate throw off his back foot while scrambling. If it was to Harris (right behind Ridley) then I'm sure even these bone head refs would have thrown a flag. Harris was creamed long before the ball would have got to him.

Lol, I genuinely laughed out loud at that one.

Not sure why you have 9 down votes (although Tebow does get a lot of unnecessary hate). Tebow's leadership was insane. I'll never forget that painful 4th quarter of the 2008 SEC CG. Tebow getting out there and rallying his team, even the defense.

Hear hear! I always say the same about Santa Clause and the ridiculous myth that he had a reindeer with a red glowing nose.

Did Tua really speak in tongues to keep himself calm?

The fact that it was 4th down basically forced him to throw it. You are correct that it wasn't really open and he forced it but nothing to lose on 4th down. Also I do think he was throwing it to Harris, not Ridly, but if Ridley didn't cross in front that was going to be PI on Georgia since the DB was already tackling Harris. It was an ugly play turned beautiful.

I realize your post is nothing more than a veiled threat but, when I read it it literally reads the exact same for me as "You better be good or Santa wan't bring you any presents". I don't know why that's so hard for some people to understand. And you may not believe this now but if you don't spend your life not believing in fairly tales you will have wasted a great deal of what is almost certainly the only life you'll ever have.

Much better arm than Tebow.
