Tebow never did anything like that as a true frosh. Comparing their first years Tua puts Tebow to shame and as much as it pains me I always thought Tebow was the best damn CFB player to play the game even tho it was obvious he'd never be a pro QB.
Both are/were thumpers but Tua is slightly worse speech wise. He repeated the same speech over and over (might've been nerves tho). Thank the Lord once and move on.
And FWIW, I'm a Christian.

Tebow was so good in college because he could throw adequately enough, especially the deep ball, to make defenses respect the pass and he was basically impossible to stop on any short yardage situation so the offense rarely stalled or faced many three and outs.
Tua will have a great career and has far greater pro potential than Tebow ever did, but Tebow and Cam were probably the two hardest QBs ever to gameplan for. You could play perfect defense and have everyone in the right position but they would just run over linebackers and pick up tough yardage when nothing else was there.

Have no idea if he'll live up to his promise, and don't care about his religion just so long as he isn't a douche about it (Tebow sometimes came across that way) All I know is that winning pass Monday was absolutely beautiful and any true fan, regardless of who they were pulling for, would agree

Here's from Hawaii. Over there, people are either really into Jesus or Meth.

I don't know Christ, but I know Jesus.
Easily one of the best tile men I've ever met.

All kidding aside I wouldn’t mock Jesus. You may not believe now but one day you will.

In fairness to Tebow, he was behind an excellent college QB and passer in Leak during his freshman year. There was never much opportunity for him to shine since he never had to come in as the team savior.

Say what you want, but Florida does not win the national title when Tebow was a freshman without Tebow. He was clutch getting first downs.

What are you people talking about?
Tebow was part of the 06 team and did more than Tua did the entire season before the title game, which Tebow also scored two touchdowns in mind you.
Act like he never came off the bench...guy was key in multiple wins.
Think the SEC has a short memory.

Read the quote I was replying to, for God's sake. I wasn't knocking Tebow, I was defending him in that exact context. My memory is fine, your thin skin isn't

Our offensive coaches will be worn out just getting to the sidelines.
