NCAA is going to have a hard time enforcing its flimsy rules. Its just another sign that they are done
They won't enforce shite in the Chancery Court of Lafayette County. I question how much they really want to fight these cases.

It is entirely true in Mississippi state court and any other court.
A couple years ago the Mississippi Supreme Court ruled that you can wait too long to raise the issue.

They're just dragging their feet on everything while praying that Congress saves them. That's the only hail mary they have left.

I hope the kid gets another year. I'm not arguing that he shouldn't.

The eligibility rules really should just be 5 to play 5. No redshirt. No waivers / exceptions.
It's just impossible for the NCAA to make and enforce rules without collective bargaining in place.

the is the denial of the appeal
there is a court case going and I bet the Ole Miss judge just does whatever
Trinidad’s petition is laughable.
He went to his doctor before 2022 and got medication.
He practiced all year
he went to his doctor after the 2022 season and his doctor notes he hadn’t had and throat infections since he saw
him last
there is literally no medical evidence he was sick during the 2022 season
much less incapacitated.

Ole Miss has a wink-wink "case" in state court
If I were the NCAA I'd push it to a higher court and keep it tied up in a legal battle until chambliss gives up. The reason our court system is broken is because people are okay with these wink wink cases when it benefits them.

Not surprising. He’ll get his TRO.
Agreed. (I thought it was an injunction)
Regardless, either way is fine. If the home cooking Ole Miss law grad judge grants the injunction, the Rebels (runts) will have no excuse if they don't achieve success in 2026.

If he continues to pursue the extra year, he risks (1) getting the TRO overturned either before the season or during the season, and (2) a much lower draft position both because he’ll be in a less productive offense AND because it will be a deeper QB class.
Dude is an idiot if he continues to pursue.
well said
Pursuing this and not entering the draft is a huge mistake, kid is costing himself millions for sure
Worst case is he gets the TRO, plays like 4-5 games and looks bad in the new offense, then it gets overturned, he has to sit out the rest of the year and doesnt get the rest of his NIL $$ from OIe Miss.
Then in 2027 his draft stock is decimated and he goes in like the 6th round

Local judge won’t have jurisdiction. I’ll bet a 6 month suspension he never plays another down for Ole Miss.
Deal!

If you're out of college eligibility, you're automatically available to draft. You only have to "declare" for the draft if going back to college is an option.
Would seem logical to me that even if you are out of eligibility, you still must declare your intentions to enter the draft. Otherwise, the NFL will think you're going to sell car insurance.

The docket may simply be “too crowded” to see the case before 2027 in Oxford, MS.
umm that means he isnt not eligible then
he judge would have to hear it, then rule
the ncaa will appeal and it wont be in oxford
he doesnt have a case and is going to lose

And he will have played all of 26 and be drafted by then. That is the point.

thats not how it works dumbass
the judge actually has to issue the TRO
at the point he has zero control over the appeal timeline
right now he can not play
