The Truth doesn't have to look very far to find examples of awful Tennessee fans. The Truth gives a slight smirk and continues on.

What a horrible list.
Texas Tech are the only genuinely bad fans I've encountered in person in my life. They are complete and utter trash. I had never thought about Texas Tech before encountering their fans, and since meeting their esteemed students, alumni, and fans, I root against them at every opportunity.
Georgia at #3? To be fair, most of your fans are nice, but the Dawgs might have the worst bottom 10% of any fanbase in the SEC, and therefore, America.
And Ohio State at #4? Go poll some B1G fans and ask about that one.
By contrast, omitting Nebraska from this list is a farce. Despite the fact that I pure, straight hate their football team, god damnit do I respect their classy fans.
It's also cheap to include fanbases like Cal - of course they're nice - they couldn't possibly care less about their team. Might as well put UMass and Columbia on the list.

It was pretty well known that texas tech fans favorite weapons other than tortillas were batteries and black ink thrown at the players on the sidelines

Nebraska fans are awful. But not in the usual sense.
Being around Nebraska fans is sort of like downing a bottle of maple syrup. .

List is crap. I’ve Been to over 50+ college venues: Here are the friendliest:
1. Army, Navy, AirForce (Tie)
2.Texas A&M
3. Iowa
4. Clemson
5. Bama
Honorable mention :ND (at least the fans who actually went there)
Least Friendly:

2. South Carolina (threw batteries at Clemson players)
3.LSU (at night is downright scary)

I think it’s all about the fans you happen to interact with. First impressions go a long way.
From my experience, Wisconsin fans have been the best.

If you guys want the actual answer for the friendliest fanbases, look at 3rd tier Midwest teams and Pacific Northwest schools in small towns. They may talk shite, but ultimately, they are just wanting to hang out and have a good time win or lose. If you emit that kind of energy, you will find it reflected back at you even as a fan of an opposing team.
If you want to find the least friendly fanbases, find a fanbase with national championship expectations who continually gets close but never wins. An example is Georgia fans were the absolute worst. But, since their team won they've become much more bearable. If we cared to, we could probably come up with a blue balls formula to find out who the worst fanbase is.
Ohio State fans have got to be the worst or close to it. I haven't spent time with Oregon fans, but I could imagine they carry a lot of frustration as well.

I haven't been to all of those places but I've been everywhere in the SEC besides Mizzou (so really everywhere in the SEC) and Texas AM is by far #1. These lists are always so dumb.

I knew three personally. The first my HS principal who was an OSU grad and was super nice and an overall good guy.
The other two were from my Navy days and they were pretty nice except you couldn't discuss football with them without them turning into obnoxious turds.
