list is a complete joke
1a Fournette
1b Gurley

Henry was a great college back and I loved watching him run but if Gurley ran behind Alabamas line that year he probably puts up Barry Sanders like numbers.
Todd Gurley IMO was incredible and had he not got suspended and injured he probably wins the Heisman. That said, Henry did win one so I can see why people would pick him but imo Gurley was the better player and has shown that since entering the NFL where they both are on a more equal playing field.
Also, anyone that watched Sony Michel last season would take him over most of the players on that list but unfortunately Sony Michel didn't really come on strong until his Junior year.

Holy shite, this list is awful.
I could throw a whole list out of SEC running backs better than him.

The only backs I saw that I thought were better than everyone we're Gurley and McFadden.
It's laughable to talk about that 2015 Alabama offensive line as if they were 2012.

It’s still a crying shame to me that Darren McFadden never won a Heisman Trophy.

If he had played with a competent passing game and defense, he would have won the SEC. If he had a Conference title, he would have won it

Just an unreal player

McFadden was a great RB. Definitely a top ten , really top 5 since 2000 and maybe the best.
The Bama RB’s, while all very good benefited from having a superior OL and a great defense. So that is why some of them have flopped at the next level.
Now any list that does not include Anthony Dixon or Jerious Norwood in the top ten since 2000 is not valid.

List is shite without Emmitt Smith who only played 2.5 years because he left after jr year and he broke leg in soph season.
UF actually a backfield at one time with FOUR first round picks in 1982, James Jones (long career at Detroit) Lorenzo Hampton the next year in 1983 (Miami Dolphins and injury shorten his career), plus 2 RBs in 1984-85 in J.L. Williams (long career as FB with Seattle and led NFL with receptions at least two years) plus Neal Anderson at Chicago who replaced Sweetness.
Id trade anyone on the OPs list for J.L. Williams who broke many long runs at UF and laid crushing blocks for Neal Anderson, Williams could catch with one hand and was a great out of the backfield receiver for Seattle where he played I believe 10-11 yrs?

Do you know what “turn of the century” means?
Posted on 7/10/18 at 10:55 pm to craigbiggio
It would appear that he does not unless “turn of the century “ means 1900 to him.

Dexter McCluster was fun to watch and is worth mentioning. He is still the only player in SEC history to rush for over 1,000 yards and receive for 500 yards in a single season.
McCluster's senior season was full of highlights as he set two school records for OM against Tennessee for rushing yards in a game with 282 and all-purpose yards in a game with 324. He scored 4 TDs also. This is a TENNESSEE SCHOOL RECORD FOR THE MOST YARDS GIVEN UP TO A BACK IN THEIR HISTORY. Put that on tList.
In his final game in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, he ran for 148 yards and threw the only collegiate touchdown pass of his career in the 25-23 win over then 9th-ranked LSU. He rushed for 1,169 yards on 181 attempts (a 6.4 yards per carry average), and made 44 receptions for 520 yards with 12 total touchdowns that made him the only player in SEC history to rush for over 1,000 yards and receive for 500 yards in a single season. He finished his college career at Ole Miss with 3,685 yards from scrimmage and 23 TD's.

Lol. This dude is naming guys that were playing in superbowls professionally in the 90s. He definitely doesn't know what turn of the century means. Hell, we should ado Bo jackson, Kevin faulk, herschel, etc. if that's the case.

Lattimore is way better than 10th
I thought Ingram and Richardson we're both better than Henry

Lattimore and Chubb are top 5...unless we are penalizing them for their injuries that essentially ruined their careers (although Chubb will salvage some of it, he was never the same). At their peak, they were both insane. This is an eye test list and everyone knows DMac was #1 and Henry was a freak athlete benefiting from the nations best O-Line. It's really hard to tell...but to me, eye test wise as a collegiate RB, Trent Richardson was by far the most impressive Bama RB of their big 4 since 2000.
WTF w/this Hester nonsense?

Trent played behind a much, much, much better offensive line than Henry did.
Henry played with a good but not great offensive line and the worst QB situation of the Saban era (until the last 1/3 of the season).

Several things:
-Die hard LSU and Hester fan here but he doesn’t belong in the top 10. However if you asked me to pick any rb ever to pick up 2 yards on 4th and 2 he’d be my pick
-Henry isn’t number 1. Yeah his numbers are astounding but he just didn’t have the “wow” factor many other big play backs had. He ran straight and had pretty good speed for a big man. IMO Trent Richardson is easily bamas best back this era. I held my breath every time he go the ball in 2011
-I can understand Auburn’s argument for tre mason purely based on his conditioning. Dude had 30+ carries every game. But get outta here with Ben Tate
-dmac is number 1
-GUICE would be top 5 if he would have been healthy last year. Both him and Fournette killed it as sophomores but had lackluster junior seasons
-sorry state fans but you can GTFO with Anthony Dixon
-would Felix jones be on here if he hadn’t had played with McFadden? I think he benefited a lot from that 1-2 punch

This is the key. Nobody really knows and it all comes down to opinions. There are so many factors....Offensive scheme, Oline, Injuries, how much the passing game helps/hinders and it goes on and on.
