Two reasons I know you're lying.
1. No Louisianan ever leaves the state except to escape to Texas.
2. Madison is awesome.

anything that has Auburn at the top of a college town list is not basing this on a visit to Auburn.

The entire list sucks honesty. The two that stick out are Knoxville and Auburn. Both are shitty college towns.
I’ve never been to Lincoln or Madison, so I have no idea if they are truly top 10 college towns.

Lincoln is ok but not top 5, maybe top 50. Madison consistently ranks within the top three of various lists, it's legit.

Madison is pretty awesome when the lake isn't frozen over.

Can any of you UGA fans read?
It has nothing to do with bars. It has nothing to do with dining. It has nothing to do with shopping.
It is about the game of college football. Nothing more, nothing less. It is about the game day experience.

I like it.
I'm with Scott van pelt on Madison. That's a great college town.

mean, Columbia is a better college football town than Auburn. Just because you throw toilet paper on your trees, you think you belong on the list? Also, that list doesn't even include Baton Rouge. It just screams the creator hasn't been to many college towns.
When I think of those two cities, I think college town...
I mean it’s nice to have property rent free but sometimes it’s just not worth the taxes...

How are either of these two things not included in the game day experience? I think you don't understand what a gameday involves. Probably because you go to Auburn games.

Can you?
Do you not realize there are great college towns that DONT have a CFB team? i.e. College football towns compared to non CFB towns
Even if this supposition were true (which it obviously isnt) why not simply ask which town/stadium has the best game day experience?
Once again and using your supposition of this study, are
You actually saying bars and dining have nothing to do
with a "game day experience"????

Read the article, it's CFB specific...or don't because it's bleacher report.

There's nothing quite like a college football town. Professional sports teams occupy the country's bigger cities, usually vying for attention in a crowded market. But college football is different. The link between a football-crazy campus and the town it's located in runs deep. College football games are usually these cities' biggest events year in and year out, with the entire area shutting down on Saturdays when the home team is in town. Few sports experiences on the planet can compare. As we continue to grind through the offseason and dream of when these locales will be commandeered by a fall Saturday, let's count down the top 15 college football towns in the country. These selections were based on a town's relationship to its college program, passion in terms of fan support, traditions, culture and entertainment options on football weekends. Some large-city campuses, such as Columbus, Ohio (Ohio State) and Austin, Texas (Texas) are such massive metro areas that they aren't eligible for this list. Instead, this list focuses on the smaller-sized cities and towns that are synonymous with their college football teams. Of course, this is the opinion of one writer, based on past experiences and reputations from others who have tackled this assignment for other outlets. One could fill up an awesome list of 15 college football towns that didn't make the cut here. So, in the good-natured spirit of college football fandom, feel free to share your own lists and experiences in the comments below.

It doesn't say The 10 Best College Towns.
It says...........The Ten Best College Football Towns.

That is exactly what I am saying. This list is about what they perceive is the best places to go watch a college football game.
ETA Ole Miss is the prime example. The Grove is why they are on the list.
