Wonder if they’re coming to an agreement out of court.
It happened Saturday when Kiffin said he'd follow the SEC's rules and not play those two players.

It’s gonna a long season for the sec rant. Real long.
We need to start planning Meltfest 1 for when we hit the one year anniversary of this on November 30.

Tell us how a ruling today would have hurt LSU?

If only there was another board on this website, a powerful one, one where you could tell us how you feel about all of the SEC teams each week

Continued by plaintiff? I thought the judge was gonna rule the Sec had a federal right to kick lsu out of the conference…
The summons for all the different parties weren't issued by the Court until yesterday. They have to have been served adequate notice to have a hearing set the next day. There is also the issue of the necessity for an expedited hearing given what has happened between their filing and today. Given LSU can no longer roster any more players, why does the SEC need emergent relief? That emergent need for a TRO is now moot. They're going to have a hard time showing the need for emergency and expedited relief at this point. The remainder of their petition is a request for a declaratory judgment on their constitutional right to self govern. That doesn't have to be heard on an expedited basis

Seems to be exactly what Ross Dellinger is reporting.

LSU must have realized that there was at least some chance that they could actually get kicked out and decided that it wasn't worth the risk. They did the smart thing.

Almost like the entire lawsuit was a house of cards that was already tumbling.

Well, I don’t know about that, but if the entire concept was to legally back whether they could kick someone out or not, LSU giving in still wouldn’t make any sense.

Good. It’s football season, talking season has passed.

There are 4 things that cannot be allowed to happen, 2 on the LSU side, 2 on the SEC Side:
LSU: Cannot be kicked out of the conference and cannot lose its head coach for a significant period of time. Those things must be avoided at all cost.
SEC: Having the case in Federal Court dismissed and derailing the Protect College Sports Act. Those things must be avoided at all cost.
Right now, it looks like both sides are moving to save face and not have to deal with these 4 disasters.

We’re about to have the most game changing calls against a team in the history of sports!
