Hey, dipstick. Are you trying to say that Tennessee doesn't pay players in an era where paying players is allowed?

We pay the frick out of players and are open about it.

If you ask a Georgia fan you guys act like you don't despite one of the top NIL budgets in the country

Odd story.

His mom got pulled over for running a stop sign. Then he flew by at over 100 MPH in his own car. Then when the cop left the mom to pursue Nyier, the mom took off and over 100 as well, trying to run interference with her car to let her son escape.

The mom was then arrested after Nyier got away, but then a UGA coach delivered Nyier to the police in the car he was driving to be arrested. He had two younger siblings in the back seat of his car. He was also charged with "cruelty to children" because of this.

Daniels has been kicked off the team.

Just odd how he's tag teaming with his mom in a high speed chase.

UGA tends not to spend all that much (compared to other teams) when it comes to high school players.

When players become starters at UGA, the NIL deals pour in. And when UGA is targeting a transfer, they offer pretty big money as well.

What UGA does that seems to be different with NIL is they make sure all their players (even walk-ons) get paid. This pushes up the total amount of NIL deals for the team. Effectively walk-ons for UGA have all their expenses paid through NIL as if it were a scholarship.

Because UGA doesn't have recruits getting paid millions while someone starting ahead of them gets paid less, it eliminates a lot of the locker room issues other teams have had to deal with for NIL.

Smart even talked about it in the early days of NIL. He was asked about big deals and he said something along the lines of - It's not the size of the deals that's impressive for UGA, but rather the number of players who have NIL deals.

He then talked about how UGA had over 100 football players getting NIL deals (despite only having 85 on scholarship).

UGA spends a lot on NIL. But the big contracts go to the starters and big contributors while the rest gets spread relatively evenly to avoid creating locker room situations.

I think the largest NIL deal reported for UGA was something like 1.3 million for Stetson Bennett in his second championship year.

I love sports. But as a society, we fricked up and allowed it to take over a massive part of our culture. We overlook bad behavior just so our team can win. And as a result, society suffers. A prime example is the UAB guy. A person like that has no business on a college campus.

True. You don't need a BMW, Audi or Porsche to go very, very fast.

Driving an M5 can be intoxicating. Sometimes you dont realize how fast you are going and the way it handles makes you feel indestructible. No one under 30 yrs old should be driiving car like that.

No excuse for that criminal behavior. Though.

It's not just NIL making them drive fast.

Y'all must not drive around ATL much.

You see folks risking their lives and everyone around them, going 100+ mph everyday on the highway in a compact car sporting spare tires.

They just don't give 2 fks.
