Notre Dame win at Notre Dame (Sanford North) is the best win by any team in the conference so I don't know what you are waiting for

I’m reserving judgement until they play a team with a pulse. Mississippi State would be undefeated if they played in the EAST and any other team from the west named Auburn, Alabama, LSU

How would they be undefeated if they lost to UGA 31-3?

Notre Dame

Nothing changes. Notre Dame strings together a few wins and vault to the top of the rankings. It's happened my entire life. They're still the same overrated post-segregation football team they've always been.

I don't mean that as a slight against UGA. Kirby has you guys clicking, and the ND win was a good one, early in the year. If you played ND again now, you'd win by 3 TD's.

We shot oursleves in the foot that game and still won. Mecole hardman dropped an easy TD pass in the end zone and Holyfield had a kick return called back because of a BS holding call. It should have been 34-19.

Have to wait for how the season plays out. 2012 they were 5 yds from a national championship. And wouldn’t call it a depth issue then or Alabama would have said the same thing since it was going back and forth.

I have to agree, the holding calls against us and missed on ND were pretty awful. Almost as bad as the UF game. Would have probably beaten them by more than 1 without that BS.

We absolutely had a depth issue. We had 68 scholarship players. That isn't debatable.

2012 was better. Murray and Gurley

If this years Dawgs go undefeated and play Bama in the SECCG do you think we use only 1 RB like we did in the 2012? Wims has better hands than any WR we had and anyone in the entire WR unit can be the go to guy. This team is without a doubt more disciplined.

Georgia is really good. I am totally shocked at how fast Kirby has turned this thing around. Many of us thought we were underperforming for years given the advantages we have over many programs in the country. I think rivals and pundits who think this is a blip on the radar and Georgia goes back to being 8-4 or 9-3 type team are going to be very disappointed. When your head coach is arguably the best recruiter in the country in one of the richest territories in the country you will likely compete at the top for a while.

With all that being said I still don't think this is our year. I think we likely drop the Auburn game and the Bama SECCG and miss the playoffs. I am just glad we are finally killing teams we should have been killing for years. Richt had too many escapes or close loses to teams that had no business playing us close. The depth is there, the coaching is there, and the attitude is there moving forward.

I get your gist in that UGA has a bad-assed team and I TOTALLY agree... but you're dangerously close to saying Cam = Herschel which I find insulting as Hell...especially when you have Bo Jackson on the shelf.

Cam was nothing more than a hired merc...at worst, an embarrassment to the SEC and Auburn. At best...no one worth celebrating.

Bo and Herschel are SEC Royalty if not Demigods.
I wouldn't let Cam shine their mfing shoes.

2012 had Malcolm Mitchell, Chris Conley, and Michael Bennett. All very reliable hands. Mitchell is probably better hands than Wims. Conley and Bennett are comparable.

Edit to add Tavarres King.

I don't disagree with the rest of your post.

Listen, I'm an Auburn boy, so I hate the Dawgs, but I also know that sometimes you got to give the devil his due. They beat the #5 team in the country in their house. They've trounced everybody on their schedule. They're balanced and athletic and well coached. It is what it is...the best UGA team I've seen in my lifetime.

Ummmm....no. I'm pretty sure they would have still lost to Georgia.

I can't argue with this. They are always the highest rated 2 loss team in the country.....or 3 loss, etc. They are media darlings, no doubt.

I was aggravated after that game, but couldn't get mad about it. It was such a great game!

In terms of one player taking a team on his back to a Championship, yes that's exactly what I'm saying.

Bo would fit that category as well. He almost single-handedly brought us back to relevance. Anybody that really knows football and saw our 1983 team would tell you that Bo made that team the best team in the country (with the toughest schedule) too. Just didn't happen in the polls.
