True. I would gladly take a 24-6 win over auburn at auburn this time around.

We absolutely had a depth issue. We had 68 scholarship players. That isn't debatable.
I didn't recall this.

Did the NCAA slap you with massive sanctions for a couple of years that I somehow missed? I don't think Bama fell as low as 68 scholarship players even in the aftermath of their "staring down the barrel of a gun" penalties.

I hope the UGA players are taking this game more seriously than their fans.

This seems like an odd thing for a South Carolina fan to say.

Nope... poor roster management under Richt. Love the man, but that was not a strength. Likely centered around his sense of honor/loyalty, as he wasn't continuously recruiting over guys, so when losing players to transfer, discipline, draft, or injury with any greater than usual frequency, total scholarship athlete numbers were boned.

murray>>>>>>fromm as a true freshman

Are you dense enough to believe that Murray played as a true freshman? Or are you saying that Murray at some arbitrary point was better than Fromm as a true freshman? I'll hang up and listen.

Holyfield had a kick return called back because of a BS holding call.

Ehh... it was probably a hold. Just an unneeded one.

Wims has better hands than any WR we had and anyone in the entire WR unit can be the go to guy

That 2012 WR unit was one of the best we've ever had. If Marlon Brown hadn't gotten hurt it would have been even better, but we had 4 fantastic receivers healthy against Bama. I'd say all 4 of those guys are better than every WR on our team except Wims right now.

Disagree, you aren't giving Godwin and Ridley enough credit.

I think he's saying Murray in 2012 when we played Bama, was better than is Fromm this year.

I think they're awesome. I just don't think either of them are better than TK, Malcolm, Conley, or Bennett.

Same team that got destroyed by sc and barely beat the vols and cats? That team better than this team?

At the very least, there is no reason to think of them as lesser quality than 2012. No one on 2012 had a catch as good as Godwin vs Notre dame

Naw, it wasn't neck and neck. Alec Ogletree blocked a FG and scored a TD and UGA was looking like they just might put the game away. Then Alabama just started running the ball at will. Jarvis Jones was getting killed on the edge in the running game. I was furious at Todd Grantham for not going to a 4-man defensive front and getting Jarvis Jones off the line of scrimmage. That effective running game set up that play-action TD to Cooper which put Alabama in the lead.

We had a stated policy from the athletic dept that didn't allow for oversigning. It was unbelievable stupid and naive in the Nick Saban era.

Pruiet got those rules loosened when he came over and they're no longer a factor for CKS

It wasn't exclusively a result of not oversigning, but that is certainly a valid point. We also were less active in our search for PWOs, transfers, etc... Don't take this as some "I hate Richt" piece, but it's fair to criticize the Richt Era for poor roster management. That blame goes to more than just one person during the time.

Notre Dame stadium looked like a vandy game crowd wise .. not that it matters .. they even said it didn’t feel like a road game .. but if both teams take care of business we all get to see who is number one
