This all gets back to Chambliss and Ole Miss.

The SEC ruled Chambliss ineligible. He got a state court to issue a TRO allowing him to play. The SEC did not object and the last time I checked he was playing. Basically precedent is set. Kiffin, logically felt these guys would be eligible with a state court order. Like he said if we don’t try to get these players someone else will. It’s SEC inconsistency that cause this.

Goes way further back than that.

Which program is fricked the most when the SEC comes out and says "we will actually abide by NCAA enforcement"...?
I can only think of one.

I believe there is one major difference in the two situations. Can you find the difference? I’m asking as condescendingly as possible, like Mickey on Mickey Mouse’s Clubhouse.

No why don’t you explain the difference.

Chambliss didn’t declare for the draft or go pro in any capacity, yet you’ve made the assertion that a “precedent is set.” Why don’t you elaborate on this?

Put the draft/pro part out of your mind, that's the first step.
The SEC is attempting to use 14.01.01 vs Kiffin because they didn't have a rule in place at the time, Chambliss would also be in violation of this bylaw. Anyone playing under any type of injunction is.

This should be nothing but downvotes. The SEC did not rule him ineligible and just like Pavia, he is going to play the whole season.

What NFL team was Chambliss on?

Correct.
But they should have, based on their opinion in the filing vs Kiffin. Selective enforcement, at its best. It'd be interesting if that's brought up in any type of blowback to potential sanctions.

NCAA declared him ineligible. SEC never came out and stated anything. They let the court order dictate his eligibility. That is the hypocritical nature of which the SEC is operating. They are selective with their self Governance. If they would have come out and supported the SEC's position then it would have been different but they remained quiet.

The SEC didn't do shite. Same with the Pavia situation. They sat on their hands.

This is completely irrelevant. Say the SEC didn't rule him ineligible but don't bring up irrelevant shite. Jesus.

If you really believe that the Chambliss issue and the two NFL players are the same issue then you are either completely ignorant or somewhat retarded. It also proves that you are an LOLSU poster. No other schools fans on this board are that ignorant.

So you’re saying Kiffin opened this can
because Chambliss stayed at Ole Miss
instead of following him to LSU. How
ungrateful can Kiffin be ? Chambliss
saved his season at Ole Miss last year.

The SEC alleged that Kiffin violated Article 14.01.01 of the SEC Bylaws in their filings.
Coaches/programs playing any athlete under an injunction currently would be guilty of the same violation.
This is way above your pay grade, Buster.
