No, it's quite a loving environment. The Sooner women can't help but throw themselves at me and their husbands like to watch.

The Middle of the Pack Championship at the red River Showdown.
Was going to post the same thing. Beat me to it.

You must not be a golfer.

I’ve never really watched it and can’t not think of a “classic” game from the rivalry. I’m hoping ESPN moves them to a Primetime kickoff.

texsa fans piss all over the bathroom floors and clog up all the toilets.

They've pulled this name-change horseshite so often that it's hard to care. I suppose I prefer "Shootout" to the others.
It's always been "OU-Texas" to me and a lot of people...or "Texas-OU" if you root for the bad guys.

Stick to tennis. The Roy Williams play is one of the best ever

Say "Red River Rivalry" fast 3 times.

Just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Also stupidly generic.
I guess "Showdown" is okay...kind of a wholesome "Price is Right" kinda feel.

Guess I hit a sore spot. Everyone knows that both Texas and Oklahoma are living off of their teams from 30 and 40 years ago

Technically speaking, you pissing through a hole in your trailer floor still counts.

From 2000-09, one team from that rivalry participated in the national title game 6 times in 10 years.
While I agree it is definitely a big game, LSU/Alabama had 6 appearances over 10 years in the title game as well (2003-2012) resulting in 5 NC's (insane percentage when you consider the only loss was by LSU to Bama), yet there is no name for that game and we aren't even rivals according to Bama fans. 3 other seasons in that stretch, SEC teams won the NC, which would help explain why the LSU/Bama, while huge, is just one of many huge conference games.
I fully expect Texas/OU to add to the list of traditional big SEC games. It should be fun.

Now that they are in the SEC we are just going to call It the “early game.”
