Texas went undefeated in 69 and defeated ND 21-17 in Cotton Bowl, ND's first Post Season bowl game. Pedo State accepted an Orange Bowl invite early and could have waited to face the winner of Arkansas /Texas game, but didn't. LSU really wasn't in the mix for NC, at least nationally.
