The Gamecocks need to be mentioned. They were winning titles in Baseball, basketball was coming on, and football was on a major upswing.
Then, they hired their freaking baseball coach as AD, doing several things:
1. Turned their baseball program from the best to shite.
2. Put a leader over their Ath Dept. who is clueless.
3. Hired a football coach no one else wanted.

So, you are telling me that Auburn lost 23-9 and 3 out of last 5 to the worst program in the SEC? Fricking A dude, that's horrible.

Sorry we lost games to Vanderbilt back when they were good and didn’t pad our schedule with them when they got bad after 1960. If you played them before 1960 you were likely to get your arse whooped. If you played them after you likely won except Tennessee who hasn’t faired well over the last 8 years. Alabama, Ole Miss , Kentucky and Georgia have really padded their win columns since 1960. LSU is the only school who did well against them pre 1960 but still didn’t play them often like Auburn or Miss St. Florida didn’t even play them at all until 1944 and didn’t really play them much until the 1970’s.
I know it looks like the dates are all over the place but you can get a feel for how good they were for awhile. And even pre conference split everyone didn’t play each other often.

looking at those numbers makes me wonder, what school did integration hurt the most- Vandy, Arkansas, or Ole Miss?

Mississippi state. They're the worst athletic department in the sec. Vandy has surpassed them. Their fans get pissed off at this fact, but it's the truth. State has never won anything. Just pitiful.
