More weather than anything. Both times I have driven through Wyoming the wind was blowing me all over the road. Miserable.

I have family in southern Kansas. I enjoy the open roads in Kansas plus the views are better.
Missouri is a dump. Joplin is Meh. Springfield is just garbage. After that, why go anywhere else? Kansas City is the exception as the towns on the MO side are nice.

Wyoming is beautiful. Devils Tower, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park. Depends on where you drive. Cheyenne to Rock Springs is blah.

Meh. I did it back in 2015 and it definitely wasn't all that bad. I enjoyed the speed limit. I was coasting along at the posted speed of 85 while others were blowing by me doing 90+. It was also my first time in the Great Plains so I was fascinated by how flat everything was.
