You understand the issue was that there were no rules established for this situation? Once the SEC set rules and penalties, LSU said cool we won't roster the players. The fact that you people are onboard with this nonsense is shocking. No one is arguing the SEC can't make its own rules. They are arguing that no rules were broken, and that the rules need to be clear and applied evenly to all circumstances

Not really.
Once rules were made you said you wouldn't break the rule.
Then you proceeded to make a roster of only 103 players, knowing there were two NFL players you had enrolled and were trying to get on your roster. This was no secret.
Your coach didn't say "we're not gonna roster these players". He said "we're gonna wait for guidance".
Finally, it took a threat to make you back down and submit a full roster without those NFL contract players.
If you were never going to roster the players, why did you submit a roster of 103? What was the purpose? If you say it was just to screw around with Sankey and the other 15 schools, well you got what you wanted and you deserved every bit of it.
Like I said before, you don't get to threaten someone with a knife or gun in your hand, put it away when the police come and then say "What's the problem? No one is dead."

You will see what LSU won when the next recruiting season comes around. LSU and Lane Kiffin and the Sate of Louisiana stood behind players that were being unjustly treated. They stood behind them so strongly it took the entire SEC to collude to stop it. LK showed over and beyond loyalty to two of his past players. And through all of this LSU put the best team in the country on the field this past Saturday. Looks like winning to me.

I absolutely think they did. You can tell by the lack of clear definitions within the rule. You can tell by the complete overreaction and lack of confidence in their rule.

As you said, the conference had clear rules and penalties established for their rules, why were they worried about threats?
If LSU rosters the players, just enact the penalties. Pretty simple. I'm not exactly sure why people believe the conference had to continue to threaten LSU after the rule was created.

You never answer this: If you had no intention of rostering those players, why did you submit a 103 player roster? The rules were laid out before you submitted your 103 player roster. You are the only school that did not submit a 105 player roster that I'm aware of.

I think they were leaving their options open, in case some miracle happened and the SEC got destroyed in court, but that was always a long shot.
Lots of schools have open spots on their rosters, especially schools that just went through a coaching change.

So in other words they weren't for sure gonna follow the rules. They might break the rules.
You realize you aren't the only school to change coaches and you hired yours first. So somehow all of the others were able to get 105 players rostered but you who had two contracted NFL players enrolled, but might have been saving those two spots for someone else.
