Auburn interviewed him and passed even after Pat Dye urged them to hire Kirby. Thats bad

TBH, that wasn't going to go anywhere. He'd probably leave Auburn to be in Athens if the thuga job ever was open.

Easy. Florida lining up on 4th and goal, with the play clock at zero for two solid seconds, and them getting to run the winning play anyway.

Northern. Illinois.
I will never forgive Mike Shula for that game.

Maybe not related but since OU is close enough to being a member, this is my list:
After the loss to Georgia, I was like, “eh, nothing ever changes. It is what it is.”

2006 LSU game was worse. That loss knocked Arkansas out of a potential BCS title game and prevented an unbeaten SEC season.
If Arkansas had a competent QB then they would have won that game. But instead Casey Dick had one if not the worst performance as a QB in Arkansas history.

The foul ball is much worse and the program still hasn't gotten over it.
If the fumble didn't happen and Arkansas won then they probably find a way to lose to LSU to end the year and lose to Tennessee in a rematch game. So it would have ended like in 2006.

I believe it was 1996, Peyton Manning's Junior season, UT up 21-14 in Billy Brice, late in the game, Gamecocks sack Manning, he fumbles, Gamecocks pick it up and run it into the endzone to tie the game 21-21.
Refs call it an incomplete pass. Replay clearly showed it wasn't even close ... it was a sack/fumble/returned for a TD. Not even close. TV announcers and home fans railing, throwing things on the field ... it was ugly.
Next three passes Manning throws ... three consecutive pass interference calls against the Gamecocks (and two future NFL corners in Sheldon Brown and Andre Goodman). UT TD, 14 pt swing they go-up 28-14 in UT's favor (and kick a FG with 11 seconds left to win 31-14) and SEC Refs keep UT undefeated and in contention for a Bowl Alliance spot (more money for the SEC - UT had already lost to UF).
Anyways, the football gods took their revenge on UT the next week when, without SEC refs, UT and Lord Manning lost at Memphis.
Steve Spurrier said later that day when he heard to Memphis State score, "you can't spell Citrus without UT."
Still, in my mind, the absolutely worst called game (and play on the fumble a return) I have ever witnessed.
The next season SC did get some revenge by intercepting Manning three times in Knoxville and probably costing him the Heisman because Charles Woodsen up at Michigan had a monster game the same day where he returned a punt for a TD, caught a pass for a TD, intercepted two balls and returned one for a TD.

Speaking of poor officiating
Whatever year it was that Arkansas got steamrolled by the officials late in the game against the Tebow lead Gators. Absolute rigging. It was multiple penalties that were questionable to poor. I’m sure some Arky fans around here remember it well.

That moment when LSU fans realized that Bama will always be daddy even if you guys somehow beat us 56-0.
This really doesn’t have the sting that you guys think it does anymore. The yeldon screen was much worse. And those demons have been exercised thanks to Joe and the greatest college football team/season of all time.
Sorry to burst your bubble

Agree completely on the differences in the circumstances, but the fumble hurt really bad for a long time. The foul ball will always hurt, even if we win one. Can never get that one back.

I always heard Auburn wouldn’t allow Kirby to stay at Bama through the national title game and that’s why he didn’t take the job.

He was gone anyhow as soon as y'all fired Richt.

Foul Ball. I don't think I'll ever get over that one.

The day I found out Mizzou wasn't going to the Big 10.

I am an Arkansas fan. Picking just one horrible, life scarring, moment is too difficult.

Don't know why you're getting down voted. Kirby's wife confirmed that they were negotiating the contract with Tanner in their kitchen when Kirby got the call that Richt was fired.
In hindsight, instead of Muschamp, Tanner should have rolled the dice on Lincoln Riley. There was a lot of smoke there at the time.
My unforgivable moment is letting the LSU game get away in 2012. Win that, SC goes to Atlanta and likely beats Bama. Natty vs ND secured.
