The SEC could take major strides towards objectivity and transparency by requiring those in oversight and officiating positions have no ties to any SEC school.
Why havent ANY of the SEC ADs proposed this?

As it stands right now, the two most impactful people on SEC football both hold degrees from UA.
Who are they? Names please and the impactful position they hold.

Part of me wants to beat LSU by 45 saturday.
The other half wants to play the long game and lose close.
-Then have ND lose a game
-Then have Michigan lose to Ohio State
-Then have Ohio State take another L
-Then Bama gets in as the 4 seed. The continuos whining of salty tears would be funny.

Bama beat only one ranked team this year
So has LSU.
UGA and State are both ranked.

Just last year Alabama scores a TD and wins by 7 thanks to this Ridley catch when he stepped OOB.
You do realize that the official acknowledged that Ridley stepped out of bounds, right?

Why does CBS hire so many people that have CTE?

However, as soon as Saban left and if the recruiting fell off and more losses piled up - would you attribute it to Saban leaving or the SEC HQ getting moved?
I really don't care. The SEC office shouldn't be involved in any particular team's success or struggles. I think when you have the SEC home office being used as a reason for a team's success or failures, then as a Conference, we have dropped the ball.

Sure. Sounds great but I have a feeling that the people applying for those positions or being "given" those positions are in the good ole boy system. That's a whole different argument that stems much bigger than the SEC HQ. That's simply life in America.
If we can hire a Commissioner with no SEC ties, then we can certainly fill lower positions with non-SEC affiliated personnel.

Same as my last statement. In terms of optics, sure but in terms of if that's even possible given the talent pool, applications to those jobs and the good ole boy system, it is what it is.
I'd ask when they were appointed to those jobs. Cause if it were anytime prior to 2007, then see my other point in previous posts cause that's when Bama sucked and it negates the argument.
Of course it's possible. The SEC is what? A billion dollar business? They can hire the right personnel that are both qualified and without conflict to fill these roles.
And to your point about when they were hired, does it matter when they were hired if there's current scrutiny on operations and personnel in key positions? If a present conflict of interest exists (or the appearance of one), does it really matter if it was there or not 11 years ago?

Exactly. The NCAA exists as a regulative body because of Alabama.

But what if the office is only being named as the reason because the people throwing the accusations are out of their mind?

We may just see this happen. The SEC is getting quite a bit of negative publicity the last few weeks.

Womack and Shaw. Do you seriously not know this? See, y'all aren't even aware.

I just find it funny that bama fans try to argue that the location of the SEC headquarters has no effect on anything yet they make a big fuss when someone suggests it should be moved from Birmingham

I don't care if they move it. I just think it would be a waste of money that could be going to better things.

Sure, so you'd be perfectly fine with having the two most impactful people on football in the SEC home office both being LSU alumni? Yeah, ok.
It's not a good look for the SEC and it may be compelled to address it under new scrutiny.
