They must have just finished watching the bizarro-worldo version of "It's a wonderful Life".

At some point when you continuously fail you have to look in the mirror. If you never face that and work on your own short comings, you will not change the course of things.
Auburn will never put a consistently good team together because they sell out to win big on occasion rather than building a solid total team. Their insecurity as little brother is only soothed by infrequent upsets of Alabama with gimmicks. This is not confidence building or satisfying in the long run but they refuse to accept it.
Don't be like Auburn. LSU is better than that.

The gift that just keeps giving. I guess us older Bama fans shouldn't say anything though.

1966 is still a sore spot.

Pfft, who am I kidding, material this good doesn't come along every year.

It's not sad that they remember it and feels the pangs of what-might-have-been. Bama fans would be the same way if the positions were reversed. What's sad is that they're still talking about it as if the topic were fresh and new instead of just downvoting the OP into oblivion for rehashing something they've discussed ad nauseam since that day. I can't believe that more of them aren't just sick of the topic and making a point of telling the OP to just stop picking at the damned wound almost 4 years later.

Edit: Okay, I read a little further and some of the conspiracy theories, e.g. the CFB didn't want LSU to succeed, so it worked to destroy them, are a little sad, yeah. I'll give you that.

Why are you sad, your team is playing in the BCS championship series?

Just cannot understand why you are preoccupied with LSU.

Enjoy the rest of your season.

I think it's arguable. There is much better competition now and Saban simply continues to win with extremely rare losses.

LSU's best game that season was not the 9-6 game and LSU still beat Bama at home. The results were not a given. Alabama also didn't play their worst in the 9-6 game.

The national championship game simply showed who has the better coach, not the better team. Saban is arguably the best college coach ever.

Hilarious. You have it backwards.

Saban is undoubtedly one of the best HCs in CFB today, but he made some questionable decisions in the 9-6 game that likely brought on the loss. Much like some questionable decisions he made in the Kick 6 game at critical times.

There is no doubt that 2011 Bama was the best team in the country.

All of that said he is a great coach, not infallible. Alabama schooled LSU on 1/9. That is not a joke.

The LSU defense actually performed well enough to win if the offense could have been merely average. Miles gets out coached much more than Saban.
