Texas hating A&M? Different story.

I don’t hate A&M, but I do hate losing to A&M..

I do however hate Oklahoma..

I have a family connection to Arkansas, so that one is a little muddy at the moment, but I don’t like the Hogs much either.

At least they aren’t Missouri.. I’m completely indifferent to them.

Not nearly as bad as A$M and Bama.

That would be like a Bama Fan going to Auburn …

Some folks don’t pick a school based on football. Even though a UT fan, I graduated from an SEC school because of major & scholarship offered. Wife went to Vandy for same reason.

Does that mean it's the current state of your program?

Who are you even a fan of? Yes App St beat A&M, great gotcha. Except I'm not the one trying to compare Arkansas resume that Texas doesn't have yet.

Pretty funny when you consider Texas’ entry into the SEC will relegate LSU to the bottom tiers of everything

Yep, it’s killing future recruiting for sure. LSU only has the #1 QB, RB, & WR in the nation committed for the 2025 class. Lol

I have hated the Univ of Texass since I was a kid and a Texass fan (at the LSU-Texass Cotton Bowl in 1962) told me "Sonny, one day you'll be old enough (I was 10 then) to realize that Texas is just better than everybody else." I asked my Dad if this guy was serious and my Dad told me he was and that's just how Texass people are. In my 72 years that's how I have found many Texass fans to be.

Note: I do not like the Aggies either.

Wtf are you even blathering about? I know decades of irrelevance can drive a fanbase a wee bit insane, but this is full aggy-like meltdown here.

And LSU is like 8-9 vs Texas historically, it isn't like Texas has dominated LSU historically like they have their little brother.

Hence you see the possible problem we have with Texas fans. They went into hiding for a while with 20th and below ranked recruiting classes for years, but have always had that “We are Texas… WE Compete for championships here” attitude. They live in their own reality. Texas will likely just be another Ole Miss game for most competitive teams. Try telling that to them though.

I will be the first to admit, the Texas-Texas A&M hatred is a whole next level thing. Only thing I have ever remotely seen as close is Alabama-Auburn. With no in-state rival, it is very hard to understand as an LSU fan. We hate everyone (to include our own team).
The hatred thing is totally one sided, and on the aggy side. For Texas it's amusement mixed with a little disgust here and there and occasionally pity...but not often. Hatred is reserved for someone who regularly humiliates you on the field, and not sure who that would be really. I guess there is some real hatred between us and OU, but since we still lead the overall series I'd say it's mutual respect...but neither fanbase will ever openly root for the other.

Did you see this printed on a cup in a Cracker Barrel near College Station, or was this an original thought?
I am in a family with Texas and LSU fans and I see none of this, though we are unusually bellicose.

It's a shame nobody told that to the 2023 SEC champion this year

An Arkansas fan starting a thread to specifically point out how much Mizzou isn't their rival, shocking.

Ole Miss is perfectly capable of beating Bama from time to time. When I say it’ll just be another ole miss game, I mean that they’re capable of winning, hell maybe more than half the time, but truly, no one in the SEC will hate Texas as much as they want them to.

Texas hasn't given us a reason to hate them ... yet. Aggies came storming into the conference 11 years ago bragging about how they were going to "TAKE OVER THE SEC!!!". It was fricking obnoxious and non-stop. If they hadn't done that more LSU fans would probably side with them over Texas. We do so for the most part with Arkansas and Mizzou.
