Probably never, if they were, most likely Missouri fans ( the original Tigers of the SEC ) wouldn't feel the need to constantly bloviate.

We returned several key players from a team that won the CWS, had a top portal and recruiting class, and a roster full of prospects. Multiple experienced pitchers ready to take the next step (Evans, Cowan, Guidry, Schmidt, etc). We were supposed to be good. Ranked #2, our coach saying this could be his best team in the preseason.
We didn't just not get a national seed, or not host a regional. We didn't make the field at all. 21 conference losses, and that's with sweeping South Carolina or it could have been worse. Less than 1 win per conference series, 7 midweek losses. Barely finished above .500 overall. This was the worst year for LSU baseball since before Skip.
Now is not the time to talk shite.
