I think I could certainly help the staff evaluate players, and with in-game management. I have a higher IQ than any college coach out there I’d be willing to bet

I’m not saying you’re not a smart guy, but this statement sounds ridiculous. You truly think you can manage a game better than the greatest coach of all time? The coach with more first rounders at Alabama than losses at Alabama?

Pull it up. I think I said multiple times on the bama board dating back 2 years that Damien Harris was no better than a third round pick, and i got slammed for it.
I got slammed for saying that other backs were better. Jacobs is better, Najee is better, Brian Robinson is better, and Trey Sanders will be better. Oh but yeah, let’s put in Damien when we need a TD in the title game, and everything is on the line.

He chose to sit on the ball with 1:47 and three timeouts, down two scores in the title game before halftime. Worst in-game decision he’s ever made.
Let’s not forget that he’s aging. He’s not as mentally sharp as he was 5 years ago

My point being, Dabo is making all of the right moves. We still have more talent on the roster, but Dabo has his best player at every position on the field.
If Saban wants to still be #1 he’s gotta put his best players out there, and stop trying to win “his way.” He needs to do whatever it takes. Even if that means starting all underclassmen

One found misspelled word doesn't cure years of being a Bama fan. Sorry.

He refuses to play the best players, in the sense that he never replaces starters with bettter, younger guys.

We had a first round back play second fiddle all year to the third rounder, Damien Harris.
It makes no sense. Josh Jacobs should’ve gotten 60% of the carries last year, with Najee getting 30% and Damien 10%

Najee will be drafted higher than Damien as well.

This shite happens every year. If Trey Sanders turns out to be our best back as a freshman, he’ll be lucky to get 30% of the carries next year.

This is one of the ways in which Dabo is better. He has no problem telling an older starter that his job is gone, and then letting him transfer.

Bottom line is, it’s totally stupid that our 1st round back was 2nd string all year

No one has ever mistaken a Bama fan for being smart. Just because other Bama fans agree with you, it doesn't change anything.

Nine true freshmen were listed on the two-deep depth chart released to start the season and several earned starts and major playing time throughout the year; 11 in 2017.

Of those in the 2017 season, 5 were on the field at the same time in OT of the NCG... including the QB and WR on 2nd and 26.

Hurts won the job over upper classsmen the yr prior.

Since the 2008 recruiting class, CNS has been successful by playing the best player. But best player sometimes doesn't equal best talent. The player has to do the right things on and off the field and in practice.

The other factor is managing talent and egos, no other coach has MANAGED the talent depth and level that CNS has for as long as he has without having the locker room implode. It may be the best thing he does.
