The Problem With Saban

He refuses to play the best players, in the sense that he never replaces starters with bettter, younger guys.
We had a first round back play second fiddle all year to the third rounder, Damien Harris.
It makes no sense. Josh Jacobs should’ve gotten 60% of the carries last year, with Najee getting 30% and Damien 10%
Najee will be drafted higher than Damien as well.
This shite happens every year. If Trey Sanders turns out to be our best back as a freshman, he’ll be lucky to get 30% of the carries next year.
This is one of the ways in which Dabo is better. He has no problem telling an older starter that his job is gone, and then letting him transfer.
Bottom line is, it’s totally stupid that our 1st round back was 2nd string all year

Damien Harris cost us at least a couple of TDs vs Clemson. Meanwhile we’ve got 2 or 3 guys that will be drafted higher sitting on the bench.

We can critique Saban without saying he sucks. He’s still the best or second best coach in the game. This is just his biggest flaw imo

You think if you have a first rounder at receiver, he should be second string?
Because we have that situation as well. Jaylen Waddle will be a top 10 pick, and he won’t start until his junior year. Dabo would be building the offense around getting him the ball

Part of the reason he went so high is because he’s as equally talented as any other backs in the draft, but had little carries in his career so scouts see a huge upside in potential longevity. I do agree he probably should’ve been used more though.

Yeah it took being blown out in the title game for him to finally play the best players. We come out in the second half with Tua, and our whole freshman class.
Should’ve been the starters since midseason.

I think I could certainly help the staff evaluate players, and with in-game management. I have a higher IQ than any college coach out there I’d be willing to bet
