14 teams, top 2 conference champs get byes. I think this happens as soon as next season or they go to 16 teams.

Doesn't matter which teams get in, there will be at least 3-4 crybaby fanbases that didn't get in who KNOW (not think, they are sure of it) they would have beaten [insert team] that beats [insert team they don't like or think is undeserving] and that's the only thing we can count on.
And no, this won't change expanding to 16. Hell, even if they make it like Texas high school football these days where every district (conference in our case) gets a set number of teams in the playoffs no matter what...there will be fanbases of some shitty 5 win team who think they should be in.

There will be Iowa state who KNOWS (not think, they are sure of it) they would have beaten Nebraska who beats Colorado and that’s the only thing we can count on.
(Btw Colorado almost a lock for the playoffs if byu continues to look sketchy)

Just take the top 12 ranked SEC teams for the CFP….

The system is designed by Disney to maximize advertising revenue.
A true playoff is impossible as college football is currently structured.
I don’t want NFL college ball.
What makes college ball fun is the arguments for and against teams and their legitimacy for making the playoff.
Everything is fine. Relax
These are the teams in the last 50 years to win a Natty.
Alabama
Michigan
Ohio state
Tennessee
Florida state
Miami
ND
USC
Texas
OU
Georgia
Auburn
LSU
Florida
Mich St.
Nebraska
So, if we formed a 16 team league and played for a championship with these teams, then we’d be close to a true playoff.
Obviously won’t happen
So again, Relax

You spoiled cry baby Bama fricks need to suck it up and learn that you aren't entitled to playing in the playoffs every year.
Yes, we are. Every now and then, out of pity, we will take a year off and allow some lower school to take our place.
Unfortunately for A&M, we don’t pity gheys all that much.

This is the right answer.
Disagree.
Just use the final poll and seed in accordance with that. That said, I do wish they'd bring back a computer component to the CFP human polling as a morr objective weight to the final rankings
If G5 cry about, tell them to kick rocks. Or, create an NIT version of a secondary playoffs.

My problem is committee not putting Miami byu Indiana behind the sec powers

A 3-loss SEC team would likely be better than everyone in the playoffs aside from the other SEC teams, and maybe a couple B1G teams. Of course, depends on the particular 3-loss team, but I do feel like the way we are playing now we could knock off some of the other likely playoff teams.
I do not foresee many, if any, 3 loss teams ever making the playoffs.

It’s an insult. Even if the AQ gives them a higher seed like with BYU there’s no possible explanation as to why they and Indiana jumped Tennessee. The only reason would be Nico’s injury but they flat denied that and claimed BYUs sketchy arse win and IUs win were somehow better than beating state by more without your starter.

Absolutely the committee is tranny at best

I agree. Greater emphasis should be placed on who you’ve beaten as opposed to simply avoiding losses. They are incentivizing cup cake schedules by the criteria they currently use

I’m in the minority, but all P5 should have had at least the CG winner in the P/O.
Now, what that format would look like, *shrug shoulders*
Dec 7th Conference CG Weekend
SEC. Texas vs Tennessee Winner. Texas
Big 10. Oregon vs Ohio State. Winner. Ohio State
ACC. Miami. Vs Clemson. Winner. Clemson
Big 12. BYU. Vs. Colorado. Winner. Colorado
At large 1. ND
At large 2 Bama
At large 3 Indiana
At large 4 g4 pick. (Boise)
At large picked by fans with voting for 24 hours
Dec 20th weekend
sec, big10, Acc, big 12 champs get byes
Sec 2 vs at large 4. Tennessee vs Boise Winner TN
Big 10 2 vs at large 3. . Oregon vs Indiana winner Oregon
Acc 2 vs. at large 2. Miami. Vs Bama. Winner. Bama
Big 12 2. Vs at large 1. BYU Vs. ND Winner. BYU
New Year’s Day Bowls
Conference Champs play winners of quarterfinals
So,
Texas vs at large 1 winner. BYU. Rose bowl
Ohio St. Vs at large 2 winner Bama. Sugar bowl
Clemson vs at large winner 3. Oregon. Orange bowl
Colorado. Vs at large winner 4. Tennessee fiesta bowl
Semi’s two weeks later. 2nd weekend Jan
Sugar bowl. Texas vs Ohio st
Orange Bowl. Oregon vs Tennessee
Natty. 3rd weekend Jan
Rose Bowl
Texas vs Oregon Winner. Texas
The big difference in my scenario is it keeps the importance of playing in the Conference CC games. Winning the CCG gets you a bye. Losing gets you a spot at the table. Gets the fans involved like voting in baseball for All Star teams. Committee seeds the tournament to hopefully get best matchups.
I’m tired after all that.
Hope my post sparks some discussion. Sorry for being so long winded.

No fan votes corrupt

The new system is awesome perfect the only thing is the committee has to put the best teams over the teams with better records, give them the help they need if necessary-a direct line to Vegas oddsmakers

I'd add PSU to that list.

Then, instead of 1 SEC Championship Game.. SEC Playoff Championship Weekend.
Or the SEC could just add 2 more regular season conference games instead of the 2 bullshite cupcake games and the regular season champion gets the auto-bid to the playoff.

Does anyone really want to watch Boise St or BYU vs UGA/Bama to determine who the title winner is?
Does anyone really want to watch UGA/Bama or any combo of SEC/Big 10 teams play for a 3rd time in a playoff (a possibility under the current system)?

I like that conference champs get in.
I don't. UCLA won the PAC 12 one year with a 7 win record. They may "deserve" the conference title, but there's no way they would deserve to steal a playoff spot.
