You don't have to edit this, but I'd fix it before he sees it or you could catch a roundhouse to the jaw.

No love for Sam Walton? He gets matched with Arkansas most of the time, but he was born an Okie.

Love or Hate Walmart, this guy left a mark on the business world.

My kids' mom is from Oklahoma. She is a raging lunatic, but my kids are awesome. They're from Louisiana, but I guess they have some quasi-Oklahoma blood.

Always pass through Binger, Ok every duck season. Home of Johnny Bench! Hunt there every year, and look forward to the ag fields, plateaus, and tumbleweed. Seriously it’s the most peaceful place on the planet. Love the whole experience.

Oklahoma until he was 5, then Missouri / Army for 20 years until he opened his first store in Arkansas at Age 26.. but yes, his claim to fame was done in Arkansas..

My dad, born 1934 in Duncan, Oklahoma, to my much loved paternal grandparents…

Duncan was the birthplace of Halliburton...

Famous people also born in Duncan were...

Hoyt Axton.
Rance and Ron Howard
Quinn Grovey
And every Longhorn's favorite coach... Jackie Sherrill.

As for the Alabama guy who's cousin got bit by the Prairie dog...

You were likely in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge...

Which ironically played a huge role in restoring the Bison and also the Texas Longhorn from extinction.

Famous Comanche chief Quanah Parker was born in those mountains (which along with the Arbuckles in Oklahoma... are considered the most ancient of all north American mountains)... which is why they aren't high enough to be actual mountains anymore.

My Pawpaw was stationed at Ft. Sill in the 60s and he wanted to go back to visit. We road tripped it up there from Alabama. Don’t recall seeing a tree for miles. Saw some prairie dogs and one bit my cousin. Not much out there.
Yeah, I'm not really sure I buy this story. Fort Sill itself may not be garden spot (and Lawton sucks), but it's adjacent to one of the most interesting parts of the state, the Wichita Mountains (the firing range includes this)

Man, as best as I recall as a 12 year old some 33 years ago...that place was amazingly hot and flat...I don't recall any trees on or near Ft. Sill.
