He’s not wrong. It’s on Alabama and Georgia to prove the league is still superior. Wins over Michigan, Florida State and another natty would shut that talk up.

SEC must be pretty down if a missouri fan has to come forward and stick up for it

It's also that the SEC lost most of the early season "marquee" non-conference games which set the narrative early. Bama-Texas, LSU-FSU, A&M-Miami, Florida-Utah, etc. And UGA not having a P5 OOC opponent hurt as well. Mizzou arguably had the best OOC win vs K State, which is a good win, but doesn't move the needle nationally

If Tennessee or Florida was having the year Mizzou was having and you swapped Auburn with Ole Miss, the perception would be pretty different, IMO.

We ended the regular season with 4 teams having 10 or more wins not including a team with the likely Heisman trophy winner.

Yeah, but it's fans of that team who keep stating the SEC was down this year. Truth is, they are projecting to prevent having to look in the mirror.

This is a casual, low IQ talking point.

Yeah, what they do is take the results of a few OOC games and extrapolate from that and then declare that a whole conference is up or down based solely on that metric. Very weak assessment. Now if you want to do it like basketball where you can have several teams in each conference playing each other in a tournament then you could get a better measure following those results. Logistically you cannot do that in football. So I don’t put much stock in such speculative assessments that fail to take into account a myriad of other things.

Actually State had the best regular season OOC win against Arizona who, if they win their bowl game may finish in the top 10-12 in the nation.

Well, Texas stomped Bama, Bama barely squeaked by Georgia, that’s a pretty big clue, unless you’re considering Texas part of the SEC already. In that case, yes, we can say the SEC is superior. If you consider UT still Big 12, I’ve got great news for you. Bama has a well deserved freebie, so let’s just forget about that arse whooping and hope Henry Ruggs drives his Corvette into Michigan’s offensive line.

Bama has to get through Michigan first. I’m worried that if Michigan plays exactly 0.01% better than Auburn did, we might be looking at an early SEC exit. What will the morons who cheer “SEC SEC SEC” at the end of games do with their time for the next year if they aren’t able to flex the superiority of their SEC rivals to PAC 12 fans?

Great, now I’m going to lose sleep tonight. SEC dominance is very important to me. UGA’s last 2 championships were the best thing to ever happen to LSU.

Gimme a break with this shite.

Michigan fans are pissed because they have to play a Bama not Florida State. You call that down?
