TennyD of 8thMaxim went all in on Gruden.
You'll never convince me otherwise that it was a ploy to drum up forum traffic.

Don't worry tho. In the lowest of Tennessee lows, MSU will still find a way to lose to them in football.

Typical Tenner fan has no sense of logic. It would be much more "hella sad" to be posting in 20s and 30s when you should be out enjoying life, or for Tenners having a funnel in your sphincter. 40s are more in line for dealing with tards on message boards.

No. Your logic is extremely flawed. Acknowledging where UGA is in comparison to our rivals, which is WAY above the Vols in particular, doesnt mean the aspirations dont aim for #1 in the nation.
The fact that UGA doesn’t address it is implied contentment.
UGA pays its on the field staff around 6,000,000 a year now. And that’s after the big raises from last year. They routinely seek the less expensive, less experienced coaches. Guys that can recruit because they can relate to kids but can’t coach at a high level. Facility additions and upgrades are constantly in catch up mode and based on established concepts when the better schools are cutting edge. 247sports ranks UGA 6th in the SEC in football facilities with current projects expected to be done in 2022. The 2 right behind you (Auburn and Florida) have already started the projects to pass you and Texas and OU are already ahead of you.
quote:
Your idea of "decent" involves old Mark Richt staffers. No thanks.
Established guys that can coach and recruit not just recruit. Guys with proven track records. CMRs problem was he promoted them above their ability (Bobo and Willie) and refused to adjust or change.

Are you claiming that old arse title was worth it to be suck arse for 25+ years?
You got a reading comprehension waiver for the Ga highschool exit exam didn’t you? I saw the decline from being content to being bad.

You havent been paying attention recently.
6th in the SEC, 8th if you include Texas and OU, with the next two passing you by 2024 according to 247sports. Infact go to any point since facilities have been ranked and UGA has rarely been in the top 15 nationally

When a Tennessee fan (losers to Georgia State and BYU back-to-back AT HOME) posts anything about CFB, all I hear is “blah, blah, blah…….”. The program and it’s fans are both insignificant.

And yet you are in this thread talking about them. Odd.

Theyve still done more as a program than uga has, and have won a natty 20 years more recently too. I dont get uga talking shite like theyre a program thats actually accomplished something.

More flawed smokeyone takes.
Kirby doesn’t hire based on failed sec experience, and that’s a good thing. He does value recruiting, as any competent head coach should, but don’t mistake that for hiring guys who can’t coach. Such a lazy and biased take from you.
Others see how your idea of a quality coach staff continues to fail in Knoxville over and over and over, so it’s humorous that reality continues to evade you. Willie and garner were not good hires in 2021, just like they weren’t in 2014. Their times have passed. Those were lazy butch Jones/Pruitt type hires.

You are so behind the times. We have caught up after massive upgrades since Kirby arrived. $175 million well spent. When completed next year, We will have every essential thing needed or wanted to excel. There simply isn’t enough room to go beyond our football facilities to claim they aren’t elite.

Fulmer was cut from the richt cloth. Neither could keep up effort wise in modern football. Unlike them, Kirby isn’t content. He isn’t lazy. That’s not a good thing for the vols, but go on denying reality.

There is alot of fans out there of teams who would give anything to see their team win a national title. I did that.. may never happen again, but ive lived the high life.

Kirby doesn’t hire based on
Kirby likes guys that can recruit and not challenge him. UGAs AD likes a bargain. That’s how you end up with a staff of recruiters, with ties to Kirby or no experience. Guys that don’t fit that criteria move on at the first chance.

247 ranked football facilities a couple months ago. UGA was 7th in the SEC, 9th if you include OU and TX and the 2 right behind UGA started building to pass them last year.

Kirby runs the same D and still controls (read stagnates) the O. He micro manages the assembled players to the point he can’t build a team. Fulmer was a head coach that assembled a staff that could coach, and recruited based on the program. He won because of the program he was able to establish. Kirby will not win a title without backing into it (read accident/ extreme luck) because he can’t build a program. He recruits individuals that play as individuals, that make decisions based on the individual and rarely the team. A program that recruits at the level UGA does doesn’t go into a season with no QB depth, still figuring out an Oline starting 5, no WR depth, and no secondary depth every year. It’s mind blowing. Change a couple of the positions but it’s the same story year in and year out. And more often than not you see that with the staff. How many Coordinators has Kirby run through so far?
