quote:

UGAs QB situation, Daniels QB1, a walk-on and 2 freshman with zero college snaps competing for QB2

A returning starter, a former walk on who has proven to be good enough to beat most sec teams, and 2 highly touted freshmen. All in all, one of the better an depth charts to have.

quote:

UGAs Oline situation a guard that lost the job last year at LT, a C with a broke hand at OG, a guy with no experience at C, an experienced LG playing RG and a veteran RT. No depth and that 5 will change a couple times before week 4.

Salyer is a good LT who never lost his job, and I already corrected you on that, so learn to read.

Our center did break his hand. That happens. Good thing we have depth.

You even mentioning a backup center contradicts your “no depth” BS. Make up your mind. In addition, Uga has multiple 5 stars as backups.

quote:

UGAs WR situation 3starter out 2 of their replacements banged up enough to miss scrimmages(Burton since the spring) and a handful of receptions behind them

It’s not ideal to have our top 2 guys out with ACL, but that will hold any team back. Good thing we have depth, isn’t it?

quote:

UGAs secondary needed 3 transfers this offseason, a projected starter (Transfer from the offseason) out, a CB waiting on a court date, the other CB is a career ST guy, a returning starter and the Star is now a Safety with no experience behind them.

Return 2 starting safeties and add A former Clemson starter, so that’s 3 proven players. The others will come from a few upperclassmen ready to prove themselves, and highly rated underclassmen ready to prove themselves. So many options.

All in all, This no depth BS of yours is so easily disproven.

UT’s downfall has nothing to do with recruiting and everything to do with poor coaching hires. Kiffin destroyed the depth at UT by running off several recruits and players. When he left late in the year, UT panicked and hired Dooley. Dooley was not a good head coach. They replaced Dooley with Jones who was better than Dooley but not very good either. Pruitt took poor coaching and player mismanagement to a whole new level. Throughout all of that, UT has recruited well considering their record and coaching changes. Every coaching change brings about attrition and new learning curves which has compounded the mistakes created by poor coaching hires. It’s pretty easy to understand what has occurred over the last 15 or so years.

As the team that had Heupel as our OC, there’s a reason his defenses get worse and worse. It’s the same reason he killed ours, your D, even if you have NFL athletes like we did for one of those seasons, several first have 3 and outs in literally 1 minute roasts your D in the second half. Tennessee will never when more than 8 games with Heupel’s system. His D can not withstand it. You’ll murder bad teams and get roasted vs better and most equal teams.

slayer finished last year as the starting LT? Because I seem to recall he was at LG in the bowl game. And you don’t move a LT right? The most important job on the Oline right? So he moved to G (his natural position) but didn’t lose his starting LT gig?

A warm body vs a guy with at least snaps.

quote:

A returning starter, a former walk on who has proven to be good enough to beat most sec teams, and 2 highly touted freshmen

A returning starter with a history of injury with no one behind him. A walk-on and 2 guys with zero snaps.

quote:

Do you? The next 2 guys have been banged up since spring the other guy you were counting on quit. So a couple dudes with a handful of catches are most likely going to carry the load.

quote:

Return 2 starting safeties and add A former Clemson starter,

Has Clemson guy been to court over his drug and firearm arrest in March? Is he cleared to play yet? UGA added 3 guys to the secondary via the portal… can they not develop any of the 12 guys that were recruited in those top ranked classes the last 4 years? No decent options at CB or S now that the starter is injured, of a caliber that can make a championship run. Especially in a league that has moved to a pass heavy league. You need at least 9 guys you can put out there without fear. UGA barely has 5 starters to put out there. Especially if dude hasn’t cleared up his arrest.

Unless you’re in your 40s and posting on tRant (which would be hella sad).....what’s it like to have never witnessed your team win a National Championship?

1. Wel past 40
2. Why would posting here be sad?
3. Have YOU witnessed your team winning a Championship? It's been 22 years.
4. You are 22+ years old and posting here, is that sad?
5. Are you old enough to even remember your last Championship?
