Colorado made their new coaching hire for the 2012 season though, not 2013.

Say what?
Jones officially turned down Colorado's 5 year 13.5 million dollar deal on December 6, 2012.
Jones on December 7, 2012 was introduced by Dollar Store Dave as the Tennessee's 23rd head coach.

The good ole days when Tenn could get most any recruit from the Carolinas and Georgia are long gone, never to return. Their ability to recruit top level players nationally is mostly gone as well.
These days Tenn just gets what it can and deals with it. They will never be consistently relevant again because they no longer have a built in advantage in either recruiting or resources, which they once did.

Think Nebraska 2.0.....you know, same business model just without the same historical success.

Totally different situation.
Steve Pederson fundamentally changed Nebraska’s football identity.

Will be interesting to see if they can recruit Knoxville with Nolan moving there.
