I agree with this. I think Kiffin is pretty safe regardless of what happens. Kelly better make the playoffs this year or he won’t be able to sit down.
Three berths is likely the most the SEC gets. Four is possible. But no way will five SEC teams be ranked in the top 11. Teams will beat up on each other way too much.

But there’s not room for them all.

You are correct. It was out of line and I edited it. But it does get tiring having the same poster follow you around trying to pick fights in every thread. I do my best to try to ignore him, though sometimes I fail obviously.

Captdalton….are you new to this? Ole Miss is not going to fire Kiffin if we don’t make the playoffs. Jesus. Will it be disappointing? Sure, but if we win 9 or 10 games and somehow miss the playoff I think Lane is safe lol….now, if we win 7 or 8 games next year he will have some splainin’ to do.

I tend to agree with you on this point your making. Because everyone and their brother expecting a drop off with Bama. Hoping we don't, but if we do someone has to take that spot. Is it Texas? LSU? Ole Miss? Tennessee? Who?
That's the point the OP is making and who's seat gets hottest if they don't. Who knows, CKD may hit the ground running and make this a moot point..lol

It doesn’t matter what I want, this is an LSU site and I know that anyone that isn’t completely pro LSU will get beat to hell. But the way you follow me around is tiring. I truly do my best to avoid even posting in your threads because this is what happens. Every once in a while it would be nice to actually discuss sports here.

I would say most of this has more to do with your personal perceptions than actual reality.
There are really only two scenarios.
Either these types of threads are actually your serious attempts at discussion, and you're simply an ignorant individual

That's why there's no way I'll be upset to miss the play offs. There's too much luck involved in football to get mad about going 8-4 or 9-3 rather than 10-2, unless you're Georgia or Alabama.

Any thread here becomes a troll thread whether it is or it isn’t.
Is it a troll to ask whether Kiffin and/or Kelly will be on the hot seat if they don’t make the playoffs next season? Some people actually responded, and the answer seems to be no. Unless the wheels really fall off. Then maybe. Not a troll.
Is it a troll to say that their fans seem to expect it? If you read any of the threads before this board became the Alabama coaching board, the consensus was that LSU and Ole Miss will make the playoffs. And was before Saban retired and there was turmoil at Alabama. Again, not a troll.
Is it a troll to say there are more teams that expect to make the playoffs than there will be spots? I don’t think it is a troll to say that the SEC likely gets no more than three or four teams into the playoffs, but there are six to eight teams that expect to make the playoffs.
If an LSU fan had started this same thread it would have gone completely different than it has.
