With MSU, TAM, and Alabama all having new coaches; the fan bases of Ole Miss and LSU are expecting their teams to be in contention for a conference title and expect a playoff birth next year. Despite moving away from the division format, each school expects to be the best team amongst former west teams. But, there can only be one winner.

How short will the leash be for Kelly and Kiffin if they aren’t in the top two or three in the SEC and fail to make the playoffs? How hot will their seats get? How many on here will be calling for their heads?

If Fla struggles this year either Kiffin or Drink will be doing the gator chomp in Gainesville in 2025.

I don't know how short of a leash they'll have but I'm so so so very anxious after reading your devastating post.

I agree that Florida will be in the market for a new coach next season.

Thecaw has been campaigning for kiffin to Florida since 2017 but the Disney gators and dumbass bullgator boosters that suck off the uaa are scared of him

Drink is better iff at Mizzou because there administration is willing to support him to win much more then floridas uaa

Edit and it’s not “if” it’s “when”

What makes you think Ole Miss and LSU won't be in the playoffs? Under the 12-team format, Ole Miss would have made it this year. LSU coaches are always on the heat seat. Just the way it is in Baton Rouge.

From what I've read, Ole Miss fans are thrilled to have a coach who's achieved a 10-win floor two of the last three seasons. And whose name is connected to every opening at well-known P-5 programs. That's a good thing from a recruiting standpoint because Ole Miss just extended Kiffin's contract.

I see five SEC teams making this year's playoffs. Before Saban retired, I would have certainly expected 'Bama to make it; and they still could. Georgia's schedule is much tougher than it was last year, but I still think they are a fave to make it.

The other teams that have a great shot are: Texas (they only play one of the other six contenders); Missouri (they have one of the easier SEC schedules); Ole Miss (they do not play Texas, Alabama or Tennessee and get Oklahoma and Georgia at home); and both Tennessee and LSU.

Oklahoma has to play six of the other contenders and might have the toughest SEC schedule of all.

I'd end by saying that Kiffin has carte blanche right now; Kelly's seat is already warm.

Is there anything that Napier could do this year to redeem himself in the Caw’s eyes? Or is Napier a dead man walking?

I think at least one of them will. Both could be. Their fans certainly expect them to. I think each also expect to be playing in the SEC title game. But assuming Georgia is there, that only leaves one slot. Somebody will be left out of the SEC title game that expects to be there. And there will be some teams left out of the CFP playoffs that expect to be there.

A good start would be to call lane kiffin and ask to switch jobs with him

Probably the same dumbasses who get married on a Saturday during football season.

Kiffin won’t have a short leash.

If LSU has another 3 loss season I expect them to start grumbling

Or the same dumbasses that start troll threads to parrot a fake twitter account.

Now THAT would be even more embarrassing then berth vs. birth.

I read about a couple who got married on the 50 yard-line of their fave team. (I hope not at halftime.)

All that pressure is on Kiffin. If Ole Miss doesn’t win the West next season , heads should roll
