I'm sure there's a reason you're whining about female kickers at Vanderbilt instead of resting up for tomorrow's practice. Being an LSU fan, it's not unlikely that it's because you're fat and have no athletic ability.

Bull hockey... you probably couldn’t hit an extra point and unless the “guys” you are referring to are active soccer players, very few could make an extra point. You think kicking a ball 30 yds (distance necessary to make an extra point with a 20 ft. bar clearance) is something a couch potato can do? Well... you are wrong.
Who would think it? An LSU fan trashing a 6’2” female athlete... I guess she was lucky she wasn’t raped..
Well I change my best athlete of all time vote to a tie between all those players that dunked the football over apparently a 20' goal post in the endzone. They could literally jump over a regular basketball goal completely upright.

I think there are women who can compete with men athletically...they are rare but there are some who could do SOME of the things a man could do...kicking is probably in the mix. I also think most sane people would find it interesting to see and would support the woman in question.
My wife and I were discussing this episode Sunday morning and I mentioned it would universally considered unfair if a football player, male, from Vandy, were allowed to play on the women's soccer team at Vandy. She took issue with the premise because it would be ridiculous....and it would not be fair...which, of course, it would be both ridiculous and unfair...an average athlete on Vandy's football team could out run most if not all of the female soccer players in college soccer...they could out physical most if not all...because men and women are not physically equal, period. I told he that was kind of the point....then I asked her how she would feel if our daughter lost a spot on the soccer team to that dude...of course she would be unhappy about that, it being unfair and what not....they I asked her how she would feel if our son lost a spot on the football team to a female who obviously is not physically capable of what a male place kicker at that level could do...that too, would be unfair in her opinion...so the only "fair" thing about the situation is that a girl got to play, regardless of ability and talent. That makes it harder for a woman who is physically capable, and again, I think it is entirely possible....to get a shot because the nay sayers will say "What about Sarah HAHAHAHA....".
I have a daughter and I would like for her to live in a world where she is competing on a level playing field with men and women.....the playing field will NEVER be level, generally speaking, between men and women physically....men are more suited to physical activities like football then women, on average....period. If my daughter was starting at linebacker for UGA based on a high level of physical ability...for a female...and not because she was actually the physical equal to a starting linebacker at UGA...I would not only not be proud of her place on the team I would fear for her safety....
Men and women absolutely should be treated as equals in areas where they are equals. There is no question in mind about this...there is also no question in my mind that physically men and women are not, generally speaking, equal....it would be a rare female who could physically be a true SEC linebacker...I ain't saying none could be because I think it is possible....but there ain't ever going to be a man who can carry a child without some surgery...there is a physical difference in men and women...

Great post!
I am not “for” women unilaterally competing on men’s teams and/or men competing on women’s teams.
I just find the vitriol that’s been directed at her unsettling.
I guess that’s typical of any anonymous internet discussion, though; it’s easy to dehumanize people.

This crap came up again today in my Google news feed. I don't really care that they made a big deal about a girl kicking. Sure, it's a publicity stunt and not really about talent, but whatever. The thing that bothers me the most is this nonsense that she "filled in to a team with a depth chart devastated by Covid and opt outs". Like if Vandy hadn't gotten the girls soccer goalie to say yes, they just wouldn't have been able to barely clear the linemen on a couple PATs or shank a kickoff. That's where I draw the line in humoring this nonsense.
I know I know, dear facebook or some shite like that. /rant.
Be still my man, unless your prostrate has ruined the fun, you can pee standing up over 5 feet. It’s the cool things in life.

What a crock of Shiite. Her kicking was interesting. Made college football fun. Who contributed and who caused harm to their university more? Sarah Fuller, a non scholarship player or all those LSU pussies that “opted out” or left early after everything LSU gave them. Lol...though I doubt Vandy will call themselves the 12th booty call.

Y'all just wait. She's probably going to be head of the Human Resources or Corporate Sustainability department at your Fortune 500 company within five years.
You have NOT heard the last of her, even though she is now retired from the gridiron.

Indeed. There are mass murderers who don't get this much derision thrown their way.
My own reaction to Sarah Fuller was "It will take her some time to get comfortable kicking in football gear but she's probably got a decent leg as a high level collegiate soccer player." Then I forgot about her until everyone on here starting having a case of the vapors about her.

But they still had a kicker. In the game where she kicked two extra points, their normal kicker was brought on to kick a 41 yard field goal which he made. Seeing how he demonstrated the ability to hit from 41 yards, logic dictates that he can also kick an extra point. Thus, her presence on the team didn’t help the team nor was it necessary.

wait you are telling me that most teams don't have a designated extra point kicker?

she pooched a kickoff in a 41-0 loss.
if your idea of fun is one little pooch like that in a completely lopsided game, then you lead a really boring life.

We watch sports...male or female...to be wowed, to be awed by athletes who can do what we can't, at a level that we can't. It's one reason why, "back in the day", women's tennis was hugely popular. Navratilova, Evert, Graff, Seles, Capriati, Kournikova (ok...popular because she was a babe), Sabatini (another babe)...were watched by millions of Americans, including men who liked tennis, maybe liked to play tennis, but who would have had their asses kicked by any of those women.
And that's one reason why the WNBA has never and will never catch on to that extent. Millions of guys who were excellent high school basketball players will always have the perception that they could compete with and beat those women. They aren't going to invest time and money and get excited about watching someone who may not be as good as them.
