We should expect more of these type "episodes" in the future SEC.
Why? Disney TV deal.
Timeline: Nov. 28 Fuller kicks off for Vanderbilt one time
Nov. 30 Fuller named "SEC Special Teams Player of the Week" (shared)
Dec. 10 comes the announcement of Disney/SEC TV deal
Was the SEC office playing to Disney to finalize this deal? Did Disney have a hand in choreographing this "script" for National news ahead of the TV deal announcing? After all...Disney does the make-believe everyday for their income.
Will this association lead to more such shenanigans? Great possibility.

This whole situation just exposes the farce that female athletes are even close to male athletes. Sarah Fuller is “a national championship female athlete” and any male high school kicker could do a better than her two kicks to this point. It’s a joke and it’s kind of sad.

No one thinks that.
Physiologically—with the possible exception of competitions like shooting, volleyball, and maybe golf—men will always be more successful, as they’re bigger, stronger, and faster than women.
Why begrudge a girl for experiencing joy by saying, “Well a guy could do that too?”
People struggle so much with supporting others and/or being happy for other competitors.
It’s unfortunate.

It’s a lot like when they let the retarded kid come in and make a few goals and everyone cheers and is genuinely happy. The kid gets to live out their dream and it’s a heartwarming moment.
Except in this case it’s for a fully functional adult, and it is really weird that everyone has to pretend a make-believe moment involving adults is real.
I would personally just ignore it as suggested, but it is hard to when the squib kick was the headline for the day and gets shown in every replay cut-in and halftime show and all the sportscasters and media celebrate it. Then it is again with the PAT and let me tell you history is being made bigots, and so forth.

I can't speak for everyone, but from what I see its when a positive story is posted that people call it out for what it is.

I’m a solid 20 plus years past my prime but there was a time when I could punt for 40-45 yards consistently as a left footed punter. In college I was a 2 sport athlete and given a weeks prep have zero doubt I could kick PATs.
Sara isn’t special. She isn’t a special teams kicker. She was a publicity stunt. Vandy had a kicker but let her trot out their and LARP for the cameras.

I was a pretty decent tennis player, but any woman who played tennis at a competitive level would have mopped the court with me.
On the other hand, Sandra Murray...Anthony's sister...was a starter on Alabama's women's team in the seventies. She would regularly come down to Foster Auditorium and play in pickup games with guys. She was really good and could hold her own...but again, Foster on any given night was full of former high school players who were as good or better than her. So that's why I have the perception I do of the WNBA. Millions of guys out there in America who were really good high school players who think they're as good or better than who they're seeing on TV, so why watch or pay money to go see them?
It's why I would much sooner buy a ticket to watch Alabama's gymnastics team than I would the women's basketball team.

When you look at sports and men vs women sports like soccer and basketball show the difference in athletism. That high school boys team beat the US national women's team. I'm sure there is a high school boys team out there that would mop up a wnba team too
