"I know a lot about the site because I've been lurking for awhile" is what every person banned from every forum ever says.

Well, that went right over your head, didn't it?

Sweetheart, I don't duck.
Of course you do. You're a nurse, and you have yet to confirm that. We both know why. You're the type of nurse who knows more than her doctor and spends more time gossiping about that than doing your job or improving yourself. It's easier for you to run your mouth to people who don't care.
quote:
Interesting. Why are you asking?
What do we mean when we say a drug is off-label?
The rest is really a lot of useless noise when you could've just said "yes, I'm a nurse."

Dude, that isn't me and I never claimed it was.
You're a fricking lunatic, and you should seek help.

You really think there's only one Jay White in the world? Also, what makes you think Jay is even my legal name? If he's actually an attorney, he's going to ignore your crazy arse.

Ok.
All that really means is that you're probably about as intellectually capable as he is.
I can accept that.

A blind link that you couldn't format correctly? Can you at least provide some context?

He isn't a doctor, and I'm not so sure he's a guy.

I don't really give a shite what you asked for.
You've been ducking for days, and today you decided to play stupid.
Is Ivermectin off-label for COVID and are you a nurse?

I bet your husband is a doctor, too.
Do me a favor and ask him to speak for you.

Indeed .... and COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the discussion at hand
What was FDA approval of Ivermectin for?

You did.
Is that the standard of discussion you're used to?
Well, so did you.

it is not anti-viral
Maybe that's not what you meant, but let's go ahead and make the claim anyway.

So when the alternative is "to self monitor for symptoms and to hydrate," it would seem irrational to PROHIBIT the addition of ivermectin to that regimen.
I haven't prohibited anything. I simply don't currently prescribe Ivermectin off-label.
If you want to do that for your patients, assuming you can, go for it.

There is a rationale for ivermectin trials.
Who said there wasn't?
It treats parasites. It's still being studied. That shouldn't be a controversial statement.

Are you saying that I should not take a treatment regimen proscribed by my doctor
I'm pretty sure he simply gave reasons that he wouldn't prescribe it, not that you should ignore the advice of your own doctor.

We all know we aren’t gonna schedule an appointment with you to tell us to sit at home with a pulse ox.
The majority of my COVID related contact with patients has been over the phone, and it's from people who tested positive and are asymptomatic or people who had contact with someone else who tested positive. In those cases, there's very rarely an office visit. I tell them to self monitor for symptoms and to hydrate.
If there are symptoms, then it varies widely depending on what those symptoms are, severity of symptoms, health history, current medication, pt age, etc.
I haven't prescribed Ivermectin. I'm not inherently opposed to it, but it's going to take a bit more than this flawed study to convince me to prescribe off-label.
