We were ranked where we were last season because breaking in a new OL was the only real concern pre-season. Nobody anticipated we'd lose all of our starting WRs who were supposed to be one of the top WR groups in the country, 3/5ths of our starting OL, or that Arnold would be the bust he turned out to be. It's not rocket science.
That is an extremely long winded way of saying "we were over ranked and didn't live up to expectations".

This is an extremely short-winded way of saying "you're right but I'm sticking to my narrative anyway"

you essentially said the media was high on ou and ignored the glaring flaws that were very evident (they're still there which is why Vegas didn't increase your win projections from last year).

I’d have to go with the Aggies over those three. For the first time since Manziel, A&M has a big veteran OLine. A fast mobile QB…great running backs…talented but unproven receivers. Elko is back coaching the defense where he belongs. With good linebackers and secondary. A manageable yet quality schedule is there as well.
I predict we shatter all precedent and take the huge step of finishing at 9-3 instead of 8-4.

I think OU is in the best position of the 3, the three being Auburn, Florida and Oklahoma,
I concur that Oklahoma is in the best position of dark horse of the SEC as of those three it is the only one with actual horses for a mascot.

That's not at all what I said.

Of those three, I'll say Auburn just because of the easier schedule.
None are making the SECCG.

It ain’t Auburn, it’s never gonna be Auburn.

OU is a mid tier team now. You dont have what it takes to compete in this league.

Florida might make the SECCG.

UF should be better than most people realize. I expect us to win 2 out of 3 of our first hard games - @LSU, @Miami and home against Texas. That will set us up to make the playoff.

I agree. But we have Ole Miss without Dart and Miami without Ward. That will make a big difference

Despite last year when OU had their top 6 WR and 4 Olineman out
We still blame the QB. Seems legit. I mean who wouldn’t excel throwing to the water boys and having juco talent blocking for him.
