Keep believing Prof, you're the only dumbass that still believes in Botch.

You never, and I mean never, fail to take up for the clown.

I agree, maybe under perform per media/fan expectations better way of getting my opinion across.

For what Mullen has compared to what he has done puts him in the top 3 in this conference at this point in time IMO.

There's no doubt they've done that.

You'll get a lot of down votes but it's true. Only 2 coaches with an SEC championship. #3 is McElwain who is the only other coach to win a division title.
Catch up, SEC, and stop hiring DL coaches and retreads

Malzahn is better then the other coaches you listed him with. He may have the perfect QB for his system this year so Auburn should be good.

Coach Mac has only had a decent QB for half a season but now being in his 3rd season it's his own fault if he doesn't have a good QB.

Mullen has done good with the talent he has had but he also had a special QB .

Smart has done great recruiting but is still an unknown as a head coach

Buch has a very young team this year. Don't hold a 7 win year against him .

It's a disgrace and the exact the reason the SEC is slipping.

So who did you think LSU should have hired?? Kliff Kingsbury?
Nutt? Herman was alway going to Austin.
Orgeron has HC experience, plus he has hired a formidable staff with Aranda, Canada, etc.
He has coached SEVEN GAMES.

Good evening Joe! I just think maybe we should've looked a little harder instead of throwing a tantrum and leaving the table when the hottest coach on the market wanted to hear out Texas (even if he was leaning there anyway), and then settling for O right away. We have a top 10 national job and had a 3 month head start on everyone. We settled on a DL coach who no one else, not even mid major openings, bothered to reach out to about the head coach position. He could perform well, but it's okay to admit that knowing what we knew at the time, it was an abysmal search and we settled.

I don't know why LSU fans feel the need to validate it like it was actually a good hire. If ANY other SEC shchool hired him, we would be pointing and laughing. When he took over, the consensus was win out and the job is his. Only one loss to Bama and he has an outside shot at the job. Two losses and he's out. That was the universal thought, and we lowered the bar.

He failed at Ole Miss, he also coached at USC in the interim, and they passed on him. That doesn't mean he's destined to fail, but no need to distort the truth and say "he's only coached 7 games" as if he's an unknown up and coming commodity that we don't know enough about. Maybe he learned from his previous mistakes and is a better coach, just seems like a school like LSU shouldn't be settling for such a retread and hoping he's improved. That's something South Carolina does, like with Muschamp.

And he hired good coordinators? Les hired Aranda. Canada hasn't coached yet. I think he'll be good but we've also never hired an OC without our fanbase collectively praising him as the savior upon the hire only to blame him as incompetent and what's holding us back after a few seasons.

I think Mongo will be entertaining on the sideline and folks better not let appendages get too close to Mongo or they could come missing something.

Orgeron is a DL coach who no one else wanted. Some LSU fans feel optimistic but they're lying to themselves or completely biased to classify him as a good coach right now. Best case is he ends up as a success story who coaches who failed miserably and recovered nicely. Hopefully but yet to be seen.

Ed Orgeron was on MSU campus I guess 4 or 5 years ago? It's been a while. A lot of MSU fans were hoping Mullen was about to hire him on defense but to this day nobody knows what was going on. Might have been an interview process? I would have nabbed him in a heartbeat. Dude can recruit and knows a thing or two about defenses.

You've had several good QBs, but they didn't fit his system and he wasted their abilities.

Malzahn is a one-trick pony for offensive play calling.

Yea, at this point I'd probably go

Tier 1 - Saban

Tier 2 - Mullen, Malzahn, McElwain, Bert

Tier 3 - Orgeron, Muschamp, Sumlin, Stoops, Mason, Butch

Tier Too Early - Smart, Odom

Tier I dunno what to do with him - Freeze

Agree with Jang. And thats not common.

I give Malzahn hell and I absolutely want to choke the frick out of him sometimes but he is by far the second best coach in the SEC right now.

If he could stay on his meds, he would do fine
