Most media members are from the midwest like Chicago, Detroit, or the coasts like LA, New York . So they’re either biased or don’t understand college football.

Who is they? the NCAA cant do anything bc of the local courts. you think the Big 10 is going to hurt one of their top programs from having a better team? you think they are going to go to the matresses for this? non of this was a big deal until LSU did it, and Certain people dont like LSU admin.... becasue of poltics. The SEC doesnt like the LSU private equity deal they are trying to get.
You have other schools in the SEC who have players right now doing this. This is why the LSU fan base was "melt" because yall were so bloodthristy and did not understand what was happening.

I can't tell if you are trolling or not.. This is really not that hard to understand.
These two guys never signed NFL contracts or spent time on a pro roster. The LSU guys did. That is what this entire thing has been about. Not some 5th year players trying to get another year. The moment you sign that contract with an NFL team or spend time on a roster you are done.

I swear LSU fans are brain dead they can’t wrapped their heads around not getting signed to a contract which means you’re are not a pro…… What is so hard for you guys to understand ?

answer this objectively, please, and not based on what your team, or conference or a team you hate is doing.
lets assume neither "technically" entered the draft, but with their 4 years exhausted, they are in the draft and go undrafted.
player A - 4 years exhausted. goes to rookie camp. practices. gets cut. goes to another camp. practices. gets cut.
player B - 4 years exhausted. broken foot. signs a contract of value pending him MAKING THE NFL ROSTER. never practices. never dresses out for a practice. cut after 1 week.
should either of these guys get to play be allowed to return to college, even before the NCAA's newest definition?

So what does it mean when an SEC athlete signs a contract with an SEC school? Does that make them a pro?
Maybe that’s why the SEC lost in court. They couldn’t differentiate how their athletes are different from pro athletes legally.

Mid tier sized markets in the Midwest like Columbus, Madison, Indianapolis get the sport.
But the coastals - especially in the northeast - don’t speak the language of cfb
So it’s the south, Texas, and pockets in the Midwest. Maybe some coastal Atlantic in Maryland or Virginia, but eh…

I think the moment your college eligibility is up and you step onto an NFL rookie camp roster, you're done with college football.
This year is weird because of the extra fifth-year eligibility situations, so hopefully we aren't having this same conversation every year.
No, I don't think those Indiana guys should be playing either. But the outrage seems to be centered on seeing a guy suit up at tight end for the Cleveland Browns and then thinking he should be allowed to come back and play college football.

agreed, so any of them that went to anything hosted by an NFL should be done, in my opinion.

agreed. the NCAA and/or the leagues really are looking foolish digging in on these select few though who were not given the ability to return for their 5th until after they were told they had to leave. i don't like anyone going and coming back, but this class has a case. and, i'd be fine if the ruling was ALL of them can play this year, or NONE of them can plan.

Because the SEC commissioner and the president at Tennessee led the conference in pitch forks with a ridiculous bluff to kick a member out of the conference for doing something what others in the conference have done and are doing.
