It's a chain sandwich shop that started out of Auburn. Also Momma G's is so far down the list of Auburn restaurants. Acre is at the top for me.

Varsity in ATL founded by Tech grad. Walking distance to stadium. Tradition for tech fans.
Varsity in Athens is a very very very very long walk to the stadium, founded by a Tech grad, and is only a tradition for sidewalk fans.
Although it would still be as good a choice as "The Grill" which sucks.

And there are some really outstanding restaurants in downtown Athens. Which is weird that the Varsity or the Grill would get picked. The Varsity is the greasiest stuff I’ve eaten that was main stream “eat it on purpose” stuff. I figured it wasn’t based on the quality of the food but association with football in the town.
Calhouns is a great place to enjoy other Tennessee fans but I am not not a fan of their food. But Tennessee football and a restaurant in the same sentence is going to lead to Calhouns on the river.

the author of this piece is an OU fan who I doubt knows much about food.
The Mont has grotesque food. They are known for the Sooner Swirl which is a frozen potent alcoholic beverage which after consuming two, you begin to feel really good.

I think that’s largely what they are going for here. Titanic is not even close to the best overall restaurant in Miami. It’s a brewpub.

Well it wasnt a chain originally, it became a small chain because of Auburn. And its clearly not the best restaurant in town. We have a James Beard finalist and master chef champ in town.
