The Varsity for GA Tech is hilarious. It's got history but it's a Burger and Hot dog place. There's hundreds of better places in Atlanta.
I wonder if they handicapped themselves for colleges located in huge cities like Atlanta. Do you get to claim all of Atlanta as the “college town” for that one college?

Yeah, that’s a no for Georgia
I mean not even fricking close. They could’ve put Last Resort and still been wrong but at least in the ballpark.

Varsity in ATL founded by Tech grad.
Reinhardt grad and Tech drop out, but I’m nitpicking

And there are some really outstanding restaurants in downtown Athens. Which is weird that the Varsity or the Grill would get picked. The Varsity is the greasiest stuff I’ve eaten that was main stream “eat it on purpose” stuff. I figured it wasn’t based on the quality of the food but association with football in the town.
Varsity is good for overpriced nostalgia and not much more. I ate there with my dad and grandpa as a kid and my parents and grandparents went there on dates in college when it was still considered cool and cheap. It’s an oasis in the desert in July, though, when football-longing is at a fever pitch. Just tastes like going to a game.

They don't have Knoxville right either. It is McDonalds. I know because all their players were carrying Happy Meal bags.

The choice of Momma Goldberg's for Auburn is flat out embarrassing. That garbage isn't even good by fast food standards.
Where's Acre? The Hound? Amsterdam?

Love Archibald's but would add DePalmas in Tuscaloosa.

Pretty sure DePalmas is a small chain/franchise, too. At least we have one in Athens, too, and while it’s solid I wouldn’t put it in our upper tier

The Varsity in Atlanta is a hilarious pick. It's great if you're looking to get a good case of the shits but that's about it

Right on the Line in Northport.
I think in that area the river is the dividing line, and it's probably about 1/2 mile in from the river.
I know it's semantics as there really isn't much of a difference between Tuscaloosa and Northport. I'm just being argumentative.

I don't get the obsession with Ajax. It's not bad, but there is a list of better options I would choose over it for good food.

I will give the guy credit for nailing Hugo's for Arkansas. Opened my freshman year in Fayetteville and the first place I ever drank a beer with my dad.
Over 40 years later still try to make it by when I am in town.

Yeah I was ready to be a hater and shite on the pick but Hugo’s is a solid choice.

Kerbey Lane is good but give me Homeslice or Rosita’s al pastor
