I'm not going to defend what Kiffin and Golding did, but the attacks on the SEC from the media are something else. Kiffin was made out to be Hitler for the Demond Williams fiasco, and Golding is now apparently the worst person who ever lived for what went down with the Clemson linebacker.

Meanwhile, Mario Cristobal tampered with Darian Mensah, who was under contract with Duke, with just hours remaining in the portal, and the media is radio silent. What Cristobal did is 10x worse than what Kiffin and Golding did. I'm not defending what they did, but they didn't frick over another program by poaching a player already under contract on the very last day of the portal. The ACC Commissioner, Jim Phillips, who cried about what Ole Miss did with the Clemson linebacker, refused to defend Duke, a team from his own conference, let alone block Miami from poaching Mensah.

It's not even just this year. Two years ago, Ryan Day tampered with Quinshon Judkins and Caleb Downs and he received minimal criticism for that.

The hypocrisy is ridiculous. If you're going to crucify Kiffin and Golding, then you need to be consistent and do the same to non-SEC coaches who do the same thing.

The irony of anyone trying to paint Clemson as a wronged party in something like this is deeply hysterical.

You heard Saban... It's really just Ole Miss. I'd say punish them, but i guess going their entire history without anything of real value is punishment enough.

SEC West Co-champs though

The kid Golding poached had been on campus, in classes for a week. I'd say that's on up there with the worst.

FFS. Golding was the most egregious. Duke had Mensah, he played for them, then chose to go into the portal. Miami was pursuing a player still in the portal! The clemson LB had already entered and exited the portal, landed at Clemson, and signed a new contract, and then you have Golding himself directly tampering.

Ferrelli did NOT sign a contract which is why OM was able to get him. Also, he had already visited OM prior to going to Clempson. Ole Miss went after him hard only after LSU tampered with and signed one of OM's starting LB's.

Downs left when Saban retired. Judkins wanted to play for a winner

Cristobal was way worse than Golding and Kiffin. Mensah wasn't in the portal. He agreed to come back to Duke and was under contract with them. He had just re-signed. Miami was desperate because they struck out on every other QB and they had just failed to tamper with Ty Simpson. Simpson was not in the portal and they offered him around $6 Million to back out of the draft and enter the portal. When Simpson told them no, they told Mensah to hit the portal. On the last day, with just hours remaining in the portal, with someone under contract. That's as bad as it gets.

It's a fricking joke that Kiffin and Golding get crucified but Cristobal gets a total pass. It's SEC hate.

Yes, how fortuitous for Miami than Mensah just happened to decide to get into portal after signing a revenue sharing deal with Duke. And to do so without any outside influence... incredible.

Okay then. What are the allegations that he is denying? This is my coach. I feel like I need to know these things.

Google is your friend, dumbass.

"Transfer linebacker Luke Ferrelli signed a revenue-sharing NIL contract with Clemson in January 2026 before flipping to Ole Miss. After Ferrelli signed, enrolled, and began workouts, Ole Miss allegedly offered him a 2-year, $2 million contract. Ferrelli re-entered the transfer portal and committed to Ole Miss. The situation generated major headlines and an NCAA tampering probe due to how the agreement broke down:The Clemson Agreement: Ferrelli, the 2025 ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year while playing for Cal, visited Clemson in early January 2026 and officially signed. He moved to South Carolina, rented an apartment, and attended classes.Ole Miss' Pursuit: According to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding texted Ferrelli while he was sitting in an 8 a.m. class, asking for the buyout figure in his Clemson contract and sending a photo of a $1 million offer. Swinney alleged that Golding, along with other Rebels coaches and players, aggressively pushed Ferrelli to break his agreement and leave. The Aftermath: Ferrelli re-entered the transfer portal on January 16. He officially committed to Ole Miss on January 22, departing Clemson. This abrupt reversal triggered an NCAA investigation into alleged tampering."

The rules don’t care about your moral compass. If Cristobal did it at the last minute he still operated in the agreed upon time window. Golding didn’t. Imagine going to a restaurant at 10:02pm, that closes at ten pm. Then bitching bc they wouldn’t serve you but sat the the guy who got there at 9:55 pm. You’re both asshats but one of you deserved refusal.

Whole lot of "According to Dabo" and "allegedly" in that paragraph you pulled from Google.

To be clear, your argument is that tampering is allowed so long as the portal is open?
